Richard Bell (coach)
Richard Bell (born September 2, 1937) is an American former high school and college football coach. His last job was as the defensive coordinator at Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Georgia. He served as head football coach at the University of South Carolina for a single season, in 1982. After he graduated from the University of Arkansas, in 1962 Bell began his coaching career at VMI. From there he coached at Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Texas Tech and South Carolina as a defensive coach. On January 9, 1982, Bell was formally introduced as the 27th head coach in the history of the South Carolina program. Bell had previously served for seven seasons as the Gamecocks defensive coordinator under previous head coach Jim Carlen. A survival/adventure drama, based on a true story, ''Brotherhood'' stars Brendan Fehr, Brendan Fletcher, Jake Manley, Gage Munroe, Dylan Everett, Matthew Isen and Sam Ashe Arnold. Richard Bell (born 1953) is an Aboriginal Australian artist and political activist. He is one of the founders of proppaNOW, a Brisbane-based Aboriginal art collective. Early life Born in 1953 in Charleville, Queensland, Bell is a Kamilaroi man. He engaged in political activism in Redfern, Sydney, in the 1970s, in causes such as Aboriginal self-determination. Richard Bell (died 1672) was an English stage actor. He joined the King's Company based at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in 1668. Considered a promising actor he appeared in the premieres of two plays by John Dryden and William Wycherley's debut '' Love in a Wood''. His career was cut short when he was killed in a fire that destroyed the Drury Lane theatre in January 1672. Richard Moore Bell (1 January 1874 – 10 June 1953) was an English first-class cricketer. Bell was born at Wigton on New Year's Day in 1874. When he was a child, his family moved to Australia, where he attended the Melbourne Grammar School, before returning to England where he attended The Leys School. He made his debut in first-class cricket for London County against Ireland at Crystal Palace in 1902. He played for London County until 1904, making eight appearances. He made two first-class appearances for the Gentlemen of England against Oxford University in 1905, before playing for the Gentlemen of England against Surrey in 1906. Bell also played three first-class matches for W. G. Grace's XI in 1906, playing twice against Cambridge University and once against the touring West Indians. Richard Aaron Bell (born May 3, 1967) is a former American football running back who played a single season in the National Football League (NFL) with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Early life Bell was born in Los Angeles, California and is a 1984 graduate of John Muir High School in Pasadena, California. He matriculated at the University of Nebraska. Richard Bell (1859 – 1 May 1930) was one of the first two British Labour Members of Parliament, and the first for an English constituency, elected after the formation of the Labour Representation Committee in 1900. Bell was born in Merthyr Tydfil and became a high-profile trade unionist, the general secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. He was elected for Derby, a two-member constituency, alongside a Liberal in the 1900 general election. He sympathised with the Liberals on most issues, except those that directly affected his union. This meant that he was not very compatible with the other Labour MP, Keir Hardie, a committed socialist member of the Independent Labour Party. Richard Bell was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an inside forward in the Football League for Sunderland and West Ham United. After a single appearance for Sunderland, Bell joined West Ham, then of the Second Division, and scored on his only League appearance for the club.
