Richard Ayoade
Richard Ellef Ayoade ( ; born 23 May 1977) is a British actor, comedian, broadcaster and filmmaker. He is best known for his role as socially awkward IT technician Maurice Moss in Channel 4 sitcom ''The IT Crowd'' (2006–2013), for which he won the 2014 BAFTA for Best Male Comedy Performance. From 1998 to 1999, Ayoade was the president of the Footlights club whilst a student at the University of Cambridge. He and Matthew Holness debuted their respective characters Dean Learner and Garth Marenghi at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2000, bringing the characters to television with '' Garth Marenghi's Darkplace'' (2004) and ''Man to Man with Dean Learner'' (2006). He appeared in the comedy shows ''The Mighty Boosh'' (2004–2007) and ''Nathan Barley'' (2005), before becoming widely known for his role in ''The IT Crowd''. Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2002. The group consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jamie Cook (guitar, keyboards), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals). Travel Man
''Travel Man'' is a British television travel documentary series, presented by Richard Ayoade and, since Series 10, Joe Lycett. Description The programme focuses on the presenter travelling to a popular city in each episode, accompanied by a celebrity guest, to provide viewers a potential itinerary for a two-day (48-hour) break. The series is characterised by a fast-paced format, consumer advice and light humour. ''Gadget Man'' (previously ''Stephen Fry: Gadget Man'') is a British television series, which aired from 19 November 2012 to 22 June 2015 on Channel 4 and was presented by Stephen Fry in the first series and Richard Ayoade in the remaining three. ''Was It Something I Said?'' is a British comedy panel show that was broadcast on Channel 4, presented by David Mitchell and featuring team captains Richard Ayoade and Micky Flanagan. Celebrity guest narrators appeared in each episode, including David Harewood, Phil Daniels, Charles Dance and Mariella Frostrup. The show was spun off from the Quotables website, commissioned by Adam Gee at Channel 4 in collaboration with the Arts Council England in 2011. The programme included a play-along second screen game based entirely on Twitter. ''The Big Fat Quiz of the Year'' is an approximately annual British television programme broadcast in the last or first week of the year on Channel 4. The show is a comedy panel game in the style of a pub quiz. Three teams of two celebrities, mostly comedians, are asked questions about the year gone by in various categories, writing answers on an electronic board in front of them. At the end of each round the answers are displayed and points awarded. The first edition was broadcast in December 2004. It was first published on 30 January 1846 in the ''Otechestvennye zapiski''. It was subsequently revised and republished by Dostoevsky in 1866. Joe Dunthorne
Joe Dunthorne (born 1982) is a Welsh novelist, poet and journalist. He made his name with his novel ''Submarine'' (2008), made into a film in 2010. His second novel, ''Wild Abandon'' (2011), won the RSL Encore Award. A selection of his poems was published in 2010 in the Faber and Faber New Poets series. His first solo collection of poems appeared in 2019. Early life Joseph Oliver Dunthorne was born in Swansea, Wales in 1982. He has two sisters, Anna and Leah.
