Richard Ashdown
Richard Ashdown (born 30 September 1978, Harlow, Essex, England) is an English darts master of ceremonies, referee, spotter and statistician who has worked within the sport of darts since 2002, for broadcasters and organisers of both World Darts Federation and Professional Darts Corporation events. It was announced on 20 April 2013 that Ashdown would be the new Master of Ceremonies at the Lakeside World Darts Championship from 2014 onwards, replacing Martin Fitzmaurice who had resigned the week previously. In July 2019, Ashdown resigned as Master of Ceremonies and head referee for the British Darts Organisation, but continues these roles for events within the World Darts Federation. In July 2020 and April 2021, Ashdown appeared on Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow in the Tony Green role as the darts scorer on Bullseye. Harlow
Harlow is a large town and local government district located in the west of Essex, England. Founded as a new town, it is situated on the border with Hertfordshire and London, Harlow occupies a large area of land on the south bank of the upper Stort Valley, which has been made navigable through other towns and features a canal section near its watermill. Old Harlow is a historic village founded by the early medieval age and most of its high street buildings are early Victorian and residential, mostly protected by one of the Conservation Areas in the district. 2007 World Darts Trophy
The 2007 Bullit World Darts Trophy was the sixth and last edition of the World Darts Trophy, a professional darts tournament held at the De Vechtsebanen in Utrecht, the Netherlands, run by the British Darts Organisation and the World Darts Federation. It had a playing format comparable with both World Championships ( BDO and PDC) and features the majority of top ranked players from both organisations. The event featured the top 12 ranked players from the PDC and BDO, seven world champions (including both incumbents) and 23 world title winners – making it possibly the strongest field assembled since the split in 1992/93. Raymond van Barneveld, the PDC World Champion, was beaten in the first round by fellow countryman Jelle Klaasen. The BDO World Champion Martin Adams fell at the quarter-final stage to Andy Hamilton. 2013 World Masters (darts)
The 2013 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2013. It took place from 10–13 October, with 10 October play at the Bonus Arena for the non-stage matches, and 11–13 October play at the Hull City Hall, which hosted the stage element of the event for the third year. Stephen Bunting and Julie Gore both attempted to defend the titles they won in 2012. Bunting was the top seed for the Men's competition after a successful year on the circuit, whilst Gore was third seed. Bunting successfully defended his title without dropping a set. In the women's event Gore was beaten in the last 16 by Maud Jackson. Deta Hedman beat Rachel Brooks 4–1 in the final.
