Rich Hinks
Aeon Zen are an English progressive metal band formed in 2008, led by founding member Rich Gray (formerly Hinks). They have been praised and heavily featured in the international music press, labelled by ''Classic Rock Magazine'' as 'a strong contender for best newcomer at the very, very least' and, additionally, as ''Progression Magazine''’s selection for "debut album of the year". To date, the band has released six studio albums, and have assembled a line-up for live performances. Their first and second albums, entitled ''A Mind's Portrait'' and ''The Face of the Unknown'' respectively, were released through Time Divide Records on 1 May 2009 and 12 October 2010. Aeon
The word aeon , also spelled eon (in American and Australian English), originally meant "life", "vital force" or "being", "generation" or "a period of time", though it tended to be translated as "age" in the sense of "ages", "forever", "timeless" or "for eternity". It is a Latin transliteration from the ancient Greek word (''ho aion''), from the archaic (''aiwon'') meaning "century". In Greek, it literally refers to the timespan of one hundred years. Its latest meaning is more or less similar to the Sanskrit word ''kalpa'' and Hebrew word '' olam''. A cognate Latin word ' or ' (cf. ) for "age" is present in words such as ''longevity'' and ''mediaeval''. ''A Mind's Portrait'' is the debut album by British progressive metal group Aeon Zen, first released in May 2009 with catalogue number TDR05009001CD. The album was praised for its intricate montage of "many stylistic elements", spanning "catchy melodies, a diverse mix of songs and styles, and progressive time changes" which "run through the gamut of emotions". ''Enigma'' is the third album by British progressive metal group Aeon Zen. Reviews were generally positive, with AltSounds calling the musicianship "stunning". Devin Townsend
Devin Garrett Townsend (born May 5, 1972) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He founded extreme metal band Strapping Young Lad and was its primary songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist from 1994 to 2007. He has also had an extensive solo career and has released a total of 28 albums across all of his projects as of 2022. After performing in a number of heavy metal bands in high school, Townsend was discovered in 1993 by a record label who asked him to perform lead vocals on Steve Vai's album ''Sex & Religion''. Jeremy "Jem" Godfrey (born 6 October 1971) is a British music producer, keyboardist and songwriter. In the early 1990s he was a producer at BBC Radio 1, working with many talented producers, before going back to Virgin Radio (where he had had his initial break) to head up the production department. He subsequently worked at Capital Radio before ultimately ending up at Wise Buddhah. Spock's Beard
Spock's Beard is an American progressive rock band formed in Los Angeles. The band was formed in 1992 by brothers Neal (lead vocals, keyboards) and Alan Morse (vocals, guitars), John Ballard (bass) and Nick D'Virgilio (drums). Ballard was replaced by Dave Meros before the release of their debut album, '' The Light'' (1995), and Ryo Okumoto (keyboards) joined soon after. Neal Morse left the band following the release of their sixth album, ''Snow'' (2002), and D'Virgilio took over as the band's frontman. Silent Call
A silent call is a telephone call in which the calling party does not speak when the call is answered. Most such calls are generated by a cold call telemarketing operation's predictive dialer which makes many calls, and sometimes does not have an agent immediately available to handle an answered call; the called party hears silence ("dead air"), followed by the call being disconnected. This differs from a ghost call, which is not dialed intentionally, and is due to technical issues or pocket dialing. In the U.S., the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) uses the term "abandoned call" instead of silent call in its regulations applying to telemarketing. Into Eternity is a Canadian progressive metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan, formed in 1997 by Tim Roth, Scott Krall and Jim Austin. History First five albums Into Eternity was formed in 1997 by founding members Tim Roth, Scott Krall and Jim Austin and later released an eponymous, independent album in 1999, with the addition of Chris Eisler and Chris McDougall. The band signed to Century Media Records a year later and then re-released their debut album.
