Ricardo Castro Ríos
Ricardo Castro Ríos (April 2, 1920 – January 21, 2001) was a classic Spanish - Argentine film actor. He came onto the scene in 1945 in the acclaimed 1945 film '' La cabalgata del circo'' in which he starred alongside two of the biggest names in Argentine cinema in the day, Libertad Lamarque and Hugo del Carril. In 1947 he then starred in another classic, A sangre fría, which also starred Amelia Bence. He died of cancer in 2001. Amelia Bence (born María Amelia Batvinik; 13 November 1919 – 8 February 2016) was an Argentine film actress and one of the divas of the Golden Age of Argentine Cinema (1940–60). Born to Belarusian Jewish immigrants, Bence began her career at a young age, studying with Alfonsina Storni at the Lavardén Children's Theater and with Mecha Quintana at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música y Declamación (National Conservatory of Music and Speech). She made her film debut in 1933, in only the second sound film of Argentina, ''Dancing'', by Luis Moglia Barth. Pierre Bruno Hugo Fontana, otherwise known as Hugo del Carril (30 November 1912 – 13 August 1989 in Buenos Aires), was an Argentine film actor, film director and tango singer of the classic era. Early life Born in Buenos Aires, del Carril was the son of parents of a rich economic position, his mother Orsolina Bertani was born in Argentina (daughter of the Italian Anarchist Orsini Bertani), but his father Hugo Fontana was an Italian architect, born in Milan. But in spite of the comforts and the comfortable life they led, his parents separated and young Hugo was left in the charge of a family friend. Libertad Lamarque Bouza (; 24 November 1908 – 12 December 2000) was a Mexican-Argentine actress and singer, one of the icons of the Golden Age of Argentine and Mexican cinema.
