Ricardo Miguel Martins Alves (born 9 May 1991) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for C.D. Tondela as either a left-back or a central defender. Club career Alves was born in Vila Nova de Cerveira, Viana do Castelo District. He spent his first two years as a senior in the third division with G.D. Tourizense and C.S. Marítimo's reserves, playing 25 matches (24 starts) for the latter during the 2011–12 season as they finished in 12th position but were still promoted to the Segunda Liga, being registered in the competition at the same time as several other reserve teams. Alves made his professional debut for Marítimo B on 12 August 2012, playing the entire 1–0 away loss against Leixões S.C. and being booked in the process. His first goal in the second tier came the following month, in the 1–0 home win over Portimonense SC. Ricardo Alves Coelho da Silva (born 25 March 1993) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Iranian club Tractor S.C. as a midfielder. Club career Belenenses Born in Lourosa (Santa Maria da Feira), Alves played youth football with mainly FC Porto, which he represented from ages 16 to 19 in his second stint. He made his senior debut with C.F. Os Belenenses on 1 August 2012, playing three minutes in a 1–0 home win against S.C. Freamunde in the first round of the Portuguese League Cup. On 20 January 2013, Alves made his first appearance in the Segunda Liga, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 0–0 home draw with C.D. Santa Clara. Brazil sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China The country debuted in the Games in 1972 and 2008 was its 10th participation. Brazil also sent the largest number of athletes to the Paralympics in its history, with 188 athletes competing in 17 Paralympic sports. Brazil didn't include any competitors in the archery and wheelchair rugby. In the Opening Ceremony, the Brazilian Flag bearer was the judoka Antônio Tenório Silva, who became four-time Paralympic champion in his category.
