Grand Hotel (Oslo)
Grand Hotel is a hotel in Oslo, Norway. The hotel is best known as the annual venue of the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Grand Hotel is situated in a very central location on the main thoroughfare, the Karl Johans gate, between the Norwegian Parliament building and the Royal Palace. It is within walking distance of Oslo's main shopping and cultural areas, as well as its sights. The hotel was opened in 1874 and is one of the most traditional hotels in Norway. Each year the hotel hosts the annual Nobel Peace Prize banquet, and the prize winners stay in the Nobel suite at the hotel. Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel is a seminar and conference hotel in Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway, close to Holmenkollen National Arena and Holmenkollbakken, and the Holmenkollen station of the Oslo Metro. PUB was one of the major department stores in Stockholm, Sweden, located in two buildings at Hötorget, Stockholm city center. PUB was opened in 1882 and rapidly expanded. The name PUB is for the initials of Paul Urbanus Bergström, the founder of the store, who owned a great deal of buildings and business in the area. In the late 20th century, the upper 4 storeys of the department store were converted into a hotel: the Rica Hotel Kungsgatan, later the Scandic Hotel Kungsgatan. Kjell Kosberg (born 8 April 1953) is a Norwegian architect. He established Kosbergs Arkitektkontor in Molde in 1986. He established an office in Oslo in 1994, which was later merged with the Molde office. Frederica Lucy "Rica" Erickson , née Sandilands, (10 August 1908 – 8 September 2009) was an Australian naturalist, botanical artist, historian, author and teacher. Without any formal scientific training, she wrote extensively on botany and birds, as well as genealogy and general history. is a Japanese actress, voice actress and singer who was born in Yokohama, Japan. Her name is also sometimes romanized as Rica Matsumoto. She was one of the founders of the anison band JAM Project. After early stage work, she began both voice acting and singing careers. The most popular role by Rica is Satoshi (Ash Ketchum in English translations), the main character of the anime series ''Pokémon''.
