Ric Huang
Ric Huang (; born Jan Shan-liang () 6 September 1968) is a Taiwanese singer and actor. As an actor, Huang is known for his appearances on ''Pili'', and has also played recurring characters on ''Borrow Your Love'' and ''When I See You Again ''When I See You Again'' () is a 2015 Taiwanese romantic comedy television series produced by Sanlih E-Television, starring Jasper Liu, Mandy Wei, :zh:趙杰, Jet Chao and Ivy Shao as the main cast. The Chinese title literally translates to "He ...''. He is a Mandopop and Hokkien pop singer-songwriter, and in 2012, won the Golden Melody Award for Best Taiwanese Male Singer. The next year, Huang performed at the Golden Melody Award ceremony. Huang has performed at the Pier 2 Arts Center in Kaohsiung, Riverside Live House in Taipei, as well as Legacy Taipei, and the affiliated Legacy Taichung. ''Pili'' (Traditional Chinese: 霹靂, Pe̍h-oē-jī: Phek-le̍k, "Thunderbolt") is a glove puppetry show from Taiwan. It is made by Pili International Multimedia. The TV series debuted in 1984, and it still continues today. It is one of the most popular TV shows in Taiwan. Unlike traditional puppet shows, ''Pili'' uses computer generated imagery (CGI) during action sequences. The delicate design of the appearance and characteristics of each puppet has made ''Pili'' a well-known TV series in Taiwan. In 2000, the spin-off film ''Legend of the Sacred Stone'' was released. It was released on VHS and DVD in Taiwan and Japan (the Japanese edit significantly shortened). The Japanese release includes some unintentionally funny English subtitles, while the Taiwanese release has no English, so the only imports and bootlegs of the film generally found in North America have been of the Japanese version.
