Ribon Magazine
is a monthly Japanese manga magazine published by Shueisha on the third of each month. First issued in August 1955, its rivals are ''Nakayoshi'' and ''Ciao''. Its target audience is girls roughly 8–14 years old. It is one of the best-selling manga magazines, having sold over 590million copies since 1978. Its circulation was in the millions between 1987 and 2001, peaking at 2.3million in 1994. In 2009, the magazine's circulation was 274,167. However, in 2010, the circulation dropped to 243,334. Pages are printed on multicolored newsprint and issues are often more than 400 pages long. They are distributed with a sackful of goodies () that range from small toys to colorful note pads themed around the manga serialized in the magazine. Love-Berrish!
is a Japanese '' shōjo'' manga series by Nana Haruta. ''Love-Berrish!'' was serialized in the monthly manga magazine ''Ribon'' from August 2005 to May 2007. During the series' run, a drama CD was released in 2005. Plot Yūya Fukushima decides to enroll in Natsuka Academy, a boarding high school, but is reassigned to live in Raspberry Dorm with five other students: Azusa Chiba, Nagisa Takamatsu, Emika Muto, Ame Yamanashi, and Kon Miyagi. Yūya is initially offended by her dormmates' quirkiness, but she is encouraged to stay by Azusa and falls in love with him. Whisper Of The Heart
is a 1995 Japanese animated romantic drama film directed by Yoshifumi Kondō and written by Hayao Miyazaki based on the 1989 manga of the same name by Aoi Hiiragi. It was animated by Studio Ghibli for Tokuma Shoten, Nippon Television Network and Hakuhodo. is a shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Momoko Sakura. The series depicts the simple, everyday life of Momoko Sakura, a young girl everyone calls ''Maruko'', and her family in suburban Japan in the year 1974. Maruko is a troublemaker, and every episode recounts Maruko's trouble and how she and her friends succeed in solving the situation. Himitsu No Akko-chan
is a popular pioneering magical girl manga and anime that ran in Japan during the 1960s. The manga was drawn and written by Fujio Akatsuka, and was published in '' Ribon'' from 1962 to 1965. It predates the '' Mahōtsukai Sunny'' (whose name became Sally in the ''Mahōtsukai Sally'' anime) manga, printed in 1966. However, that title is the first magical girl anime as ''Himitsu no Akko-chan'' was not broadcast until 1969. The original anime ran for 94 episodes from 1969 to 1970. It was animated by Toei Animation and broadcast by TV Asahi (then known as NET).
