Colombres (Ribadedeva)
Colombres is one of three Parish (administrative division), parishes (administrative divisions) in Ribadedeva, a Municipalities of Spain, municipality within the province and autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. In 2011 the population was 1,385. In 2015 it won Premio Princesa de Asturias for "Pueblo ejemplar". One of the most famous people in Colombres was Iñigo Noriega, who was born on 21 May 1853, he emigrated to Mexico with his uncle and he built a palace in his village named La Quinta de Guadalupe, which is the setting for Fundación de Archivos de Indianos, a place for documents about people who emigrated to South and North America since the 19th century. Llanes
Llanes (the ''Concejo de Llanes'', ''Conceyu de Llanes'' in Asturian language) is a municipality of the province of Asturias, in northern Spain. Stretching for about 30 km along the coast at the extreme east of the province, Llanes is bounded to the south by the high ridge of the limestone Sierra del Cuera, which rises to over 1,100 m. The region is part of the ''Costa Verde'' (Green Coast) of Spain, which is known for its spectacular coastal scenery, with 32 white sand beaches, and mountains covered with a deep green mantle. Llanes lies to the north of the Picos de Europa, a mountain range whose geology is almost entirely of limestone karst. Peñamellera Baja (in Asturian language, Asturian: '' El Valle Baḥu de Peñamellera'') is a municipality in the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias, Spain. It is borderered to the north by Llanes and Ribadedeva, to the west by Peñamellera Alta, and to the east and south by the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. History There have been some manifestations of Paleolithic art found in Peñamellera Baja. In La Loja cave, various stone tools were found that provides an important set of cave art corresponding to the Magdalenian age which show animal engravings such as horses and bison.
