Riaz Uddin Ahamed Siddique (; born 1972), commonly known as Riaz, is a Bangladeshi film actor, producer, and television presenter who has appeared in more than 100 Bengali films in genres ranging from romance to action to comedies. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including three National Film Awards and seven Meril Prothom Alo Awards. He portrayed the famous literary character, Shuvro, created by Humayun Ahmed, in Daruchini Dip. Riaz first appeared onscreen as a side role in filmmaker Dewan Nazrul's social action drama ''Banglar Nayok'' (1995). He began a full-time career in film with a leading role in the highly successful romantic drama ''Praner Cheye Priyo'' (1997). In 2005, Riaz worked with Bollywood actress Susmita Sen for Mahesh Manjrekar's film It Was Raining That Night. Wahab Riaz (Urdu, pa, ; born 28 June 1985) is a Pakistani cricketer. He is a left-arm fast bowler and a right-handed batsman. Fahmida Riaz ( ur, ) (28 July 1946 – 21 November 2018) was a Urdu writer, poet and activist of Pakistan. She authored many books, of which some are ''Godaavari'', ''Khatt-e Marmuz'', and ''Khana e Aab O Gil'' the first translation in rhyme of the Masnavi of Jalaluddin Rumi from Persian into Urdu. The author of more than 15 books of fiction and poetry, she remained at the center of controversies. When ''Badan Dareeda'', her second collection of verse, appeared, she was accused of using erotic, sensual expressions and sometimes islamist undertone in her work. Riaz Shahid (1927 – 1 October 1972) was a Pakistani filmmaker, film writer, and a journalist. Early life and career Riaz Shahid was born in 1927 in Quetta, British India. Riaz Afridi ( ur, ; born 21 January 1985) is a Pakistani cricket coach and cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler.
