M.J.D. "Rianne" Donders-de Leest (born 22 July 1960, in Eindhoven) is a Dutch politician for the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). Donders-de Leest started her career as a teacher at a primary school. She was elected into the municipal council of Etten-Leur in 1990. Till 2002 she was a councillor, among others as leader of the CDA fraction. In 2000 she also became an alderman, dealing with spatial planning, traffic, transportation, housing and sports. From 1 September 2004 to 9 January 2015 she was mayor of the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo. Rianne Monique Letschert (born 13 September 1976) is a Dutch law scholar. Since November 2021 she has been president of Maastricht University. Previously Letschert was professor of victimology and international law at Tilburg University between March 2011 and September 2016. From September 2016 until 1 February 2022 she was rector of Maastricht University. Career Letschert was born in Doetinchem on 13 September 1976. She moved at an early age to Stiphout in the municipality of Helmond. In Helmond she attended high school. RIA Novosti (russian: РИА Новости), sometimes referred to as RIAN () or RIA (russian: РИА, label=none) is a Russian state-owned domestic news agency. On 9 December 2013 by a decree of Vladimir Putin it was liquidated and its assets and workforce were transferred to the newly created Rossiya Segodnya agency. On 8 April 2014 RIA Novosti was registered as part of the new agency. RIA Novosti is headquartered in Moscow. The chief editor is Anna Gavrilova. Content RIA Novosti was scheduled to be closed down in 2014; starting in March 2014, staff were informed that they had the option of transferring their contracts to Rossiya Segodnya or sign a redundancy contract. On 10 November 2014, Rossiya Segodnya launched the Sputnik multimedia platform as the international replacement of RIA Novosti and Voice of Russia.
