Rialto (2019 Film)
''Rialto'' is a 2019 Irish/British drama film directed by Peter Mackie Burns and written by Mark O'Halloran. The film stars Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. The film premiered at the 2019 Venice Film Festival in the Horizons section. It also played at the Goteborg Film Festival in 2020. Plot Colm is a 46-year-old married man who has spent his life working on Dublin's docks. While he deals with the death of his father and the loss of his job due to a corporate take-over he explores his sexuality with 19-year-old male hustler Jay. Meanwhile, his family life comes under increasing strain. Mark O'Halloran ( ga, Marcas Ó hAllmhuráin) is an Irish scriptwriter and actor. He is a native of Ennis, County Clare. He has written award-winning screenplays for the films ''Adam & Paul'' (in which he co-starred) and ''Garage'' and the RTÉ mini-series ''Prosperity''. Eileen Walsh (born 16 April 1977) is an Irish actress. Biography Born and raised in Cork, Ireland, Walsh was raised in a Catholic household, and had no intention of becoming an actress, until she followed in the footsteps of her elder sister Catherine, who was also an actress, and young Eileen began to attend theatre workshops. Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (born 4 November 1977) is an Irish actor. He is best known in Ireland for his roles as Nigel 'Nidge' Delaney in the RTÉ One series ''Love/Hate (TV series), Love/Hate'' (2010–2014), and is known internationally for his role as Ebony Maw in ''Avengers: Infinity War'' and its sequel ''Avengers: Endgame''. Early life Vaughan-Lawlor was born in Dundrum, Dublin, Ireland. He attended De La Salle College, Churchtown, an all-male state secondary school in Dublin 14.
