Ri Mu-yong
Ri Mu-yong ( ko, 리무영) is a North Korean politician and administrator. He served as Vice Premier and Minister of Chemical Industry in the Cabinet of North Korea. Biography He was born on April 8, 1948. During the 1990s to 2003 he served as director of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex in Anju, South Pyongan Province. In 1998 he was elected to the 10th convocation of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), representing the 119th electoral district. In 2003 he was elected to the 11th convocation of the SPA, and appointed to Minister of Chemical Industry, replacing Pak Pong-ju who became Premier of North Korea. He served in that position until April 2017, when he was replaced by Jang Kil-ryong. During the 3rd Party Conference he was elected a full member of the Central Committee of the WPK. The Ministry of Chemical Industry (Minkhimprom; russian: Министерство химической промышленности СССР) was a government ministry in the Soviet Union. The People's Commissariat of Chemical Industry was to coordinate and direct the following branches of the chemical industry: nitrogen, basic chemistry, mineral chemical, lacquer and paint, aniline dye, iodine and bromine, rubber, caoutchouc, and plastics. Kim Yang-gon
Kim Yang-gon (, 24 April 1942 – 29 December 2015) was a North Korean politician and a senior official of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea. Early career Kim Yang-gon started his political career as a vice-director of the party's International Liaison Department in 1986, and during this time he also oversaw relations with Japan as head of the DPRK-Japan Friendship Association. He was a recipient of the top Order of Kim Il-sung in 1995. He was promoted to director in 1997 and visited China multiple times during his tenure. In 2005 he also received a position as "councilor" to the National Defence Commission. Ri Ul-sol
Ri Ul-sol (리을설; 14 September 19217 November 2015) was a North Korean politician and military official. He played an important role in the administrations of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il, achieving the rank of Marshal of the Korean People's Army. He was responsible for the safety of top North Korean leaders and their families as Commander of the Guard. Early life and education Ri Ul-sol was born in 1921 in Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province. He may have been trained at the Okeanskaya Field School in Vladivostok or in the RKKA Military Academy in Khabarovsk, both in the Soviet Union. Jo Myong-lok (12 July 1928 – 6 November 2010) was a North Korean military officer who held the military rank Chasu (Vice Marshal). In 1998, he was appointed First Vice-Chairman of the National Defence Commission of North Korea, Director of the Korean People's Army General Political Bureau. Previously, he was the commander of the air defence forces. Background The 7th Congress was the first Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea held since the 6th Congress in 1980. The 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was elected by the 7th Congress on 9 May 2016, and remained in session until the election of the 8th Central Committee on 10 January 2021. In between party congresses and specially convened conferences the Central Committee is the highest decision-making institution in the WPK and North Korea. The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea ( ko, 조선로동당 중앙위원회) is the highest party body between national meetings of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the ruling party of North Korea. According to WPK rules, the Central Committee is elected by the party congress and the party conference can be conferred the right to renew its membership composition. In practice, the Central Committee has the ability to dismiss and appoint new members without consulting with the wider party at its own plenary sessions.
