Rhye
Rhye is an R&B musical project of Canadian singer Mike Milosh. It originally consisted of him and Danish instrumentalist Robin Hannibal. They released the singles "Open" and "The Fall" online without much detail, which led to speculation about the band. Their debut album, ''Woman'', was released on March 4, 2013. In June 2013, the album was longlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize. In 2017, it was reported that Robin Hannibal was no longer a member of Rhye and that the project had evolved into a music collective led by Milosh and focused around the associated live band. Their second album, ''Blood'', was released on February 2, 2018, and was largely written, produced, and performed by Milosh. In 2018, Rhye began an international tour to promote the album ''Blood''. ''Woman'' is the debut studio album by Canadian/Danish R&B duo Rhye. The album was released worldwide on March 1, 2013 by Polydor Records, except in North America where it was released on March 5 through Loma Vista Recordings, Innovative Leisure, and Republic Records. The album's release followed the singles "Open" and "The Fall", both of which appear on the album. Critical reception ''Woman'' was very well received by critics, with many comparing the album's sound to the artist Sade. The album currently holds a 79/100 rating on Metacritic. Milosh
Mike Milosh, known professionally as Milosh, (born 1976) is a Canadian electronic musician from Toronto, who is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Career Milosh started learning classical cello at age three, later taking up drumming. He studied jazz and vocals at university. The Los Angeles-based record label Plug Research released two of Milosh's albums, including 2004's ''You Make Me Feel'' and 2006's ''Meme''. In 2008, he contributed the track "Then It Happened" to the Ghostly International/Williams Street album ''Ghostly Swim'', which was released as a free digital download. Later that year, he released his third record, ''iii'', with Plug Research in the US and Studio !K7 in the EU. In 2009, he collaborated with Paul Pfisterer on the album ''New Territory''. Robin Hannibal Mølsted Braun is a Danish record producer and songwriter, best known for being one half of the musical duo Quadron and for being a founding member of Rhye, which he has since left. Besides being involved in both, he is also known for producing two tracks for Little Dragon's ''Nabuma Rubberband'' and received co-writing credits for ''Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe'' by Kendrick Lamar, as the song contained a sample of "Tiden Flyver" performed by his band Boom Clap Bachelors. Quadron is a Los Angeles-based Danish duo consisting of singer Coco O. and musician/producer Robin Hannibal. The group considers their genre "electronic soul music". The self-titled debut album ''Quadron'' was released in late July 2009. ''Migration'' is the sixth studio album by British DJ and record producer Simon Green, performing under the name Bonobo. It was released on 13 January 2017. Background ''Migration'' was primarily written and recorded while Green was still on tour for his previous album, '' The North Borders''. After the completion of the tour, Green completed a move from New York City to the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The move, as well as the travelling for the tour and the deaths of some family members, led Green to contemplate on themes of identity, migration, and the environment. Bonobo (musician)
Simon Green (born 30 March 1976), known by his stage name Bonobo, is a British musician, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles. He debuted with a trip hop aesthetic, and has since explored more upbeat approaches as well as jazz and world music influences.
