Franz Rhode
Franz Rhode (also ''Franciscus Rhodus'') (died 1559) was a German printer of the 16th century. Having been active in Marburg between 1529 and 1534, he went to Hamburg in 1536 to print Latin works of the theologist Urbanus Rhegius from Celle. In 1537 he moved his office to Danzig (Gdańsk) in Kingdom of Poland, where he published the ''Wisby'sches Waterrecht'' (Maritime Laws of Wisbuy) in 1538, and established himself as the printer of the council and gymnasium of the town. In the winter of 1539/1540, Leopold Friedrich Prowe: ''Nicolaus Coppernicus'', 188/ref> he printed the Narratio Prima of the young German astronomer Georg Joachim Rheticus, an introduction to Nicolaus Copernicus' major work, ''De revolutionibus orbium coelestium'', which was finally published in 1543. Kim Rhode
Kimberly Susan Rhode (born July 16, 1979) is an American double trap and skeet shooter. A California native, she is a six-time Olympic medal winner, including three gold medals, and six-time national champion in double trap. She is the most successful female shooter at the Olympics as the only triple Olympic Champion and the only woman to have won two Olympic gold medals for Double Trap. She won a gold medal in skeet shooting at the 2012 Summer Olympics, equaling the world record of 99 out of 100 clays. Most recently, she won the bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics, making her the first Olympian to win a medal on five different continents, the first Summer Olympian to win an individual medal at six consecutive summer games, and the first woman to medal in six consecutive Olympics. Paul Peter Rhode
Paul Peter Rhode ( csb, Paweł Pioter Rhode; September 18, 1871 – March 3, 1945) was a German-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay in Wisconsin from 1915 until his death in 1945. Rhode was the first Pole and Kashubian to be elevated to an American bishopric. Biography Early life and education Paul Rhode was born in Neustadt in the Kingdom of Prussia, German Empire (now part of Poland) to Augustin and Krystyna Rhode. Augustin died in Prussia while Paul Rhode was a young boy. When he was age nine, his family immigrated to the United States in the Kashubian diaspora, settling in Chicago, Illinois. Robin Rhode (born 1976) is a South African artist based in Berlin. He has made wall drawings, photographs and sculptures. Education Rhode was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He studied fine art at Technikon Witwatersrand in Johannesburg (now the University of Johannesburg), followed by postgraduate work in 2000 at the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance.
