Rheumaptera Cervinalis
''Rheumaptera cervinalis'', the scarce tissue, is a moth of the genus ''Rheumaptera'' in the family Geometridae. It is found across the Palearctic The Palearctic or Palaearctic is the largest of the eight biogeographic realms of the Earth. On the underside, small dark central spots bold and intense; two small dark spots near base of the fore-wing on leading edge. The larva is powerful with short white bristles. Giovanni Antonio Scopoli (sometimes Latinisation of names, Latinized as Johannes Antonius Scopolius) (3 June 1723 – 8 May 1788) was an Italian physician and natural history, naturalist. His biographer Otto Guglia named him the "first anational European" and the "Carl Linnaeus, Linnaeus of the Austrian Empire". Geometridae
The geometer moths are moths belonging to the family Geometridae of the insect order Lepidoptera, the moths and butterflies. Their scientific name derives from the Ancient Greek ''geo'' γεω (derivative form of or "the earth"), and ''metron'' "measure" in reference to the way their larvae, or inchworms, appear to measure the earth as they move along in a looping fashion. A very large family, it has around 23,000 species of moths described, and over 1400 species from six subfamilies indigenous to North America alone.
