Rhett Hall
Rhett Floyd Hall (born December 5, 1968) is an American football defensive lineman who played eight seasons in the National Football League for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, and Philadelphia Eagles. He played in Super Bowl XXIX for the San Francisco 49ers. He played college football at the University of California at Berkeley and was selected in the sixth round of the 1991 NFL draft. Hall's son Cade is a defensive lineman for the San Jose State Spartans. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. The Mountain West Conference (MW) is one of the collegiate athletic conferences affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) (formerly I-A).
