Kristian Liebrand (born March 3, 1973 in Rhede, Germany) is a photographer from Germany, who concentrates on Nude (art), nude art photography of women. Liebrand has been featured in a number of photo magazines, Lifestyle magazines, Trade magazine, professional journals and TV stations. Background Since 2010 Liebrand has received achievements in international photo contests. His works have been published in a fine nude art book entitled ''more than nude – fine art photography'' () published in 2012 and ''more than nude - exclusive edition'' book published in 2014 Between 2008 and 2015 Liebrand lived and worked in Bocholt, Germany. 2016 he moved to Bochum where he built a new photo studio, called "Visible" along with many photo sets on a 360 square meters. Michael Roes
Michael Roes (born 7 August 1960 in Rhede, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German writer and filmmaker. Roes was born in Rhede and grew up in Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia. Education and academic career He was a student of Philosophy, Anthropology and Psychology at the Free University of Berlin. He holds a Diploma in Psychology (1985) and a PhD in Philosophy (1991). His anthropological field research was conducted in Israel and the Palestinian territories (1987,1991), Yemen (1993–1994), the United States ('' Native Americans in the State of New York'' 1996-1997; ''The Social Construction of Race at the Mississippi''1999) and Mali (1999). Franz August Schmölders
Franz August Schmölders (28 November 1809, in Rhede, Münsterland – 21 February 1880, in Breslau) was a German orientalist. His focus was the Arabic language and literature. Education Schmölders studied from 1830 on philosophy and theology at the University of Bonn. Under the influence of professors Christian August Brandis, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Freytag, Christian Lassen and August Wilhelm Schlegel, he soon concentrated on the oriental, especially Arabic philosophy. He learned to Hebrew, Arabic, Avestan, Persian Syriac and Sanskrit. During his studies Schmölders dealt especially with the Arabic translations of the writings of Aristotle. In 1835, he won with a text edition of the works of the Indian philosopher Bhartrihari the price of the Faculty of Arts. On 22 July 1836 he was a Dr. phil. PhD. Ulrike Luise Tillmann FRS is a mathematician specializing in algebraic topology, who has made important contributions to the study of the moduli space of algebraic curves. Borken (district)
Borken is a ''Kreis'' (district) in the northwestern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany in the Münster region. Neighboring districts are Steinfurt, Coesfeld, Recklinghausen, Wesel, Cleves, Bentheim in the Lower Saxony and the Dutch provinces Gelderland and Overijssel. The two biggest cities are Bocholt and Gronau. History During the era of the Holy Roman Empire the area was subordinate to the Prince-Bishopric of Münster for centuries. In 1803 the bishops lost this territory, and the short-lived Principality of Salm was founded. After the Napoleonic Wars the region became a part of the Prussian province of Westphalia in 1815. Bocholt () is a city in the north-west of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, part of the district Borken. It is situated 4 km (2½ miles) south of the border with the Netherlands. Suderwick is part of Bocholt and is situated at the border annex to Dinxperlo. Geography The northern border of the city of Bocholt is the German border with the Netherlands.
