Rey Evangelista
Rey Evangelista (born December 28, 1971) is a Filipino retired professional basketball player who played for Purefoods franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association during his entire career. He was a one-time Best Player of the Conference awardee in 2002. He was known as a great defensive player and a left-handed shooter. He is now a politician who serving as a city councilor for Ormoc City. Player profile Rey hails from Ormoc, Leyte. He started out as a volleyball player during his high school days at St. Peter's College. He shifted to basketball because people noticed he is a high leaper and is also good at positional plays. 1998 PBA All-Star Weekend
The 1998 PBA All-Star Weekend is the annual all-star weekend of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Instead of the old formats of pitting its stars from the North against the South or the veterans versus the youngsters, the league this time featured the Philippine Centennial Team against a PBA Selection, reinforced by imports. Aric Del Rosario
Januario "Aric" del Rosario (January 1, 1940 β March 25, 2020) was a Filipino basketball player and coach who served as head coach of the UST Growling Tigers in the UAAP, Pampanga Dragons in the Metropolitan Basketball Association, the 2003 RP Men's Team in the Southeast Asian Games, and of the UPHSD Altas from 2012 to 2015; until he retired and was made a consultant of the team in the NCAA. He was also a consultant and assistant Coach of Toyota-Balintawak Road Kings in the Philippine Basketball League. He was the commissioner of the NCAA (Philippines) from 2009 to 2011.
