Rey del Ring (2011) (Spanish for "King of the Ring") was an annual professional wrestling major event produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on June 16, 2011, in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The main event of the show was the Eponymous IWRG Rey del Ring tournament, the ninth version of the annual tournament, which is IWRG's version of WWE's Royal Rumble event. The ''Rey del Ring'' returned to IWRG's regular schedule in 2011 after no event was held in 2010, making the event the 10th overall tournament since 2002. International Wrestling Revolution Group
International Wrestling Revolution Group (Grupo Internacional Revolución in Spanish; the Spanish name is used for the promotion while the English initials are used for the title governing body) is a Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. Founded in 1996 by Adolfo Moreno and since Moreno's death in late 2007 has been controlled by his sons Alfredo and Marco Moreno. IWRG has its own championships but like many Mexican promotions recognize champions from other promotions, occasionally allowing them to defend those titles on IWRG shows. In recent times the company has become a more direct competitor to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion (AAA), acquiring a national television deal with TV Azteca and using a number of talent that have left CMLL or AAA to bolster their ranks and profile. Héctor Juan López Vieyra (born November 25, 1984) is a Mexican ''luchador'' (or professional wrestler) who is best known for his time with International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) under the ring name Canis Lupus.
