Revival (Petra Album)
''Revival'' is the nineteenth studio album of the Christian rock band Petra and their third praise album. It was released on November 20, 2001. Album background ''Revival'' was released amidst some major changes for the band. Three members had departed the band, so Bob Hartman decided to return from retirement to help cement the ground for their next album. Also, the band was dropped from their label (Word/Epic) which started a search for a suitable record label to launch their next album. Inpop Records picked the band up and prepared for their next release. It was decided by both the band and producers that the best way to follow was a third praise album. They also decided that, instead of hiring new members, they would stay with remaining core members (John Schlitt, Louie Weaver, Bob Hartman) and use studio musicians for bass and keyboards. Petra (band)
Petra is an American music group regarded as a pioneer of the Christian rock and contemporary Christian music genres and was, for many years, regarded as the "world's most popular Christian rock band". Formed in 1972, the band took its name from the Greek word for "rock". Though it disbanded formally in 2006, incarnations have played reunion shows in the years since and released two albums in November 2010, and in November 2017. In 2013, it reformed with a new drummer, Cristian Borneo, and recorded a new song titled "Holy is Your Name", before going back on tour. Phil And John
Phil and John was a contemporary Christian music duo from Mansfield who recorded and toured throughout the 1980s and 1990s. History Phil and John were Phil Baggaley and John Hartley, childhood friends who first started playing together at the age of 13. Their performances, which included an appearance at the Greenbelt festival in 1989, typically incorporated music and comedy. Although no longer performing and recording as a group, both remained within the music business: Baggaley went on to establish Christian record label Gold Records, while Hartley moved to Nashville, Tennessee and became director of A&R for Worship Together Records. Jacquire King (born January 11, 1967) is an American record producer, recording engineer and mixer. King has worked with such notable artists as Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, James Bay, Kaleo, Modest Mouse, Shania Twain, Buddy Guy, Norah Jones, Of Monsters and Men, Cold War Kids, Punch Brothers, City and Colour, Robert Ellis, Dawes and others. The Bennett House
The Bennett House is a recording studio located on 4th Avenue North in Franklin, Tennessee. Built in 1875, the two-story building has served as a residence, a clothing store and, starting in 1980, a recording studio used by many popular music artists when recording in Tennessee. Artists that have frequently recorded at the studio include 1970's rock and roll producer Norbert Putnam ( Kris Kristofferson, Dan Fogelberg, Jimmy Buffett, Dusty Springfield), country music producer Bob Montgomery ( Joe Diffie, Waylon Jennings), producer Keith Thomas ( Amy Grant, Vanessa Williams, Selena, 98 Degrees). Jason Halbert (born June 3, 1974) is an American producer, music director, musician, engineer and songwriter. He has been Kelly Clarkson's music director since 2003, shortly after her ''American Idol'' win.
