Revitalized Transitional Government Of National Unity
The Cabinet of South Sudan is the Executive Branch of the Government of South Sudan. The Cabinet members are appointed by the President and report to the President. Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU) Under the terms of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (R-ARCSS), that came into effect on 22 February 2020, South Sudan is governed by a Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU) led by a cabinet of 35 members. Under the terms of the agreement, SPLM nominated 20 ministers, SPLM-IO nominated nine ministers, South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) nominated 3, former detainees nominated 2 and the remaining minister was nominated by other parties to the agreement. Deng Alor Kuol
Deng Alor Kuol () is a South Sudanese politician. He has served as the minister of East African Community Affairs in President Salva Kiir Mayardit's government. He is a member of the Ngok Dinka ethnic group, and was born in Abyei region, an oil-producing border region between Northern and Southern Sudan. He is also Uncle to Achai Wiir, a South Sudanese renowned businesswomen. In October 2007, Alor was appointed Foreign Minister of Sudan, replacing Lam Akol, in what was seen as an attempt to appease the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement. Alor had previously been Minister of Cabinet Affairs in Khartoum's national unity government. Alor remained Sudan's foreign minister until 2010.
