Reutum
Reutum is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Tubbergen, and lies about 10 km northwest of Oldenzaal. Reutum was first attested in the late-10th century as Riatnon, and means "settlement near reed". The village developed along the Reutumse Es. Reutum and neighbour were home to 670 people in 1840. The church is dedicated to St. Simon and Judas, and was constructed in 1811. The windmill is called "De Vier Winden" (The four winds), and dates from 1862. Another point of interest is the double sluice in the Almelo-Nordhorn canal. Bart Groothuis
Bart Groothuis (born 1 January 1981) is a Dutch politician serving as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2020. He is a member of the Dutch conservative-liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party, which are both part of the European political group Renew Europe. He worked for politician Henk Kamp and as a cybersecurity expert at the Ministry of Defence before receiving a seat in the European Parliament as a result of Brexit in February 2020. Education and early career Groothuis was born on 1 January 1981 and grew up in Reutum, in Overijssel, and attended Canisius high school. Tubbergen (; Tweants: ) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. Overijssel
Overijssel (, ; nds, Oaveriessel ; german: Oberyssel) is a Provinces of the Netherlands, province of the Netherlands located in the eastern part of the country. The province's name translates to "across the IJssel", from the perspective of the Bishopric of Utrecht, Episcopal principality of Utrecht by which it was held until 1528. Oldenzaal (; Tweants: ''Oldnzel'') is a municipality and a city in the eastern province of Overijssel in the Netherlands. It is part of the region of Twente and is close to the German border. It received city rights in 1249. Historically, the city was part of the Hanseatic League as a subsidiary city of the fellow Hanseatic city of Deventer.
