Christian Friedrich Reusch
Christian Friedrich Reusch (25 November 1778 – 25 April 1848) was an East Prussian Administrative law, administrative lawyer and writer who became an increasingly senior government administrator in East Prussia. He was, like his father, a member of the social circle of intellectuals, the , surrounding the celebrity Age of Enlightenment , enlightenment philosopher Immanuel Kant. Reusch is remembered two centuries later for his surviving written recollections of Kant and his friends before and during the years dominated by the French Revolution of 1789 and the ensuing French Revolutionary Wars, wars which it triggered across Europe. Franz Heinrich Reusch
Franz Heinrich Reusch (4 December 1825 – 3 March 1900) was an Old Catholic theologian. He was born at Brilon, in Westphalia, studied general literature at Paderborn, and theology at Bonn, Tübingen and Munich. The friend and pupil of Döllinger, he took his degree of Doctor in Theology at Munich. He was ordained a priest in 1849, and was immediately made chaplain at Cologne. In 1854 he became ''Privatdozent'' in the exegesis of the Old Testament in the Catholic Theological Faculty at Bonn; in 1858 he was made extraordinary, and in 1861 ordinary, professor of theology in the same university. From 1866 to 1877 he was editor of the ''Bonner Theologisches Literaturblatt''. In the controversies on the infallibility of the Pope, Reusch belonged to Döllinger's party, and he and his colleagues Bernhard Josef Hilgers, Franz Peter Knoodt and Joseph Langen were interdicted by the Archbishop of Cologne in 1871 from pursuing their courses of lectures. Johann Friedrich Reusch (5 September 1843, Siegen - 15 October 1906, Agrigento) was a German sculptor and art teacher. Biography He was born to a long-established family of craftsmen. His father was a master carpenter. Initially, he was going to follow him into the carpentry trade, but his artistic talents were noticed by the sculptor, August Kiss, who advised him to go to Berlin to study. There, he attended the Prussian Academy of Arts until 1867, after which he worked at the studios of Albert Wolff (sculptor), Albert Wolff, whom he assisted on an equestrian monument to King Frederick William III of Prussia, Frederick William III. In 1872, he was awarded a scholarship by the Michael Beer (poet), Michael Beer Foundation, enabling him to study in Rome. After his return to Berlin in 1874, he went into business as a freelance sculptor. Hans Henrik Reusch
Hans Henrik Reusch (5 September 1852 – 27 October 1922) was a Norwegian geologist, geomorphologist and educator. He served as director of the Geological Survey of Norway. Biography Born in Bergen, he was educated at the University of Leipzig and Heidelberg University. He graduated Ph.D. at the University of Christiania (now University of Oslo) in 1883. He was married to the painter Helga Marie Ring Reusch He joined the Geological Survey of Norway in 1875, and was its Director from 1888 to 1921. He was a Sturgis Hooper Professor of Geology at Harvard University (1897–98). He is distinguished for his research on the crystalline schists and the Palaeozoic rocks of Norway. Helga Marie Ring Reusch (1865–1944) was a Norwegian painter. Biography Falsen was born 29 May 1865 in Fredrikstad. In the late 1800s she traveled to France, Spain, Italy and the United States. She studied with Erik Werenskiold, Hans Heyerdahl, Eilif Peterssen, Gerhard Munthe, and Pierre Puvis de Chavannes. She was married to the Norwegian geologist Hans Henrik Reusch (1852–1922). Falsen exhibited frequently at the ''Høstutstillingen''. She exhibited her work at the Palace of Fine Arts at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. She won a Bronze Medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. Falsen died 13 October 1944 in Hvalstad Hvalstad is a village and a small part of the municipality of Asker. Kina Reusch (1940–1988) was a Canadian artist based in Montreal, Quebec. Resuch's work ''Torii'' was part of the Corridart exhibition during the 1976 Montreal Olympics, which was taken down after six days by the City of Montreal. In 1977 Reusch was hired as the director of Montreal's Galerie Powerhouse, a presentation centre dedicated to art made by women. Ron Reusch is a Canadian sportscaster, active mostly from the 1960s through to 2006. While living in Germany from 1959 to 1967, he worked for CBS Europe, the Canadian Forces Network, and a variety of German radio and television outlets. When he returned to Canada, he started working for radio station CKGM in Montreal, and for years was part of the English broadcast crews of both the Montreal Canadiens and Montreal Expos. He worked for many years on the CTV Television Network and its Montréal affiliate, CFCF-TV, where he covered a variety of sports.
