Return To The Beloved
''Return to the Beloved'' (french: Retour à la bien-aimée) is a 1979 French drama film directed by Jean-François Adam. Starring Isabelle Huppert, Jacques Dutronc and Bruno Ganz, it tells the story of a man who tries to win back his ex-wife by framing her new husband for murder. Plot Julien, a well-known concert pianist until his divorce, has become obsessed with regaining his ex-wife Jeanne and their little son Thomas. Living in his family home outside Paris that he left to her, she has married a German doctor named Stephan and broken off all contact with him. He blackmails a private detective named Keller to murder the husband but, as the man approaches the house at night, Julien instead shoots him dead with Stephan's revolver that he had stolen earlier. He had also scattered other clues to incriminate the doctor. Jean-François Adam
Jean-François Adam ( 14 October 1980) was a French actor and director. Career Adam was an assistant to French filmmakers François Truffaut and Jean-Pierre Melville. He is known for having played the small role of Colette's lover in the Antoine Doinel saga, and for playing the philosophy teacher in the French drama film '' Graduate First'' (1978), directed by Maurice Pialat. Adam directed the French drama film ''Return to the Beloved'' (1979), which stars Isabelle Huppert. He was also a part-time clown. Personal life Adam was married to Brigitte Fossey, and had a daughter, the actress Marie Adam. At the age of 44 Adam shot himself. Jacques Dutronc
Jacques Dutronc (born 28 April 1943) is a French singer, songwriter, guitarist, composer, and actor. He married singer Françoise Hardy on 30 March 1981 and together they have a son (manouche jazz) guitarist Thomas Dutronc, born 1973); they separated in 1988. He also has been a longtime songwriting collaborator with Jacques Lanzmann. Some of Dutronc's best-known hits include " Il est cinq heures, Paris s'éveille" (which All Music Guide has called "his finest hour"), "Le Responsable", and " Les Cactus". Dutronc played guitar in the rock group El Toro et les Cyclones. He wrote successful songs for Françoise Hardy in the 1960s before moving on to pursue a successful solo career. His music incorporated traditional French pop and French rock as well as styles such as psychedelic rock and garage rock. He was also very important in the Yéyé music movement. Jean-Claude Carrière (; 17 September 1931 – 8 February 2021) was a French novelist, screenwriter and actor. He received an Academy Award for best short film for co-writing '' Heureux Anniversaire'' (1963), and was later conferred an Honorary Oscar in 2014.
