Reto Keller
Reto Keller (born 4 June 1994 in Münsingen) is a Swiss curler from Bern. Keller threw fourth stones for the Swiss junior team (skipped by Yannick Schwaller) at the 2014 World Junior Curling Championships, winning a gold medal. Keller was invited to be the alternate on the Swiss team at the 2015 World Junior Curling Championships. The team won a silver medal, though Keller didn't play in any matches. In 2014, Keller joined the Pfister rink. The team played in a number of World Curling Tour events, and would win the Swiss Men's Curling Championship in 2015. Curling
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called ''rocks'', across the ice ''curling sheet'' toward the ''house'', a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones, with each player throwing two. World Junior Curling Championships
The World Junior Curling Championships are an annual curling bonspiel featuring the world's best curlers who are 21 years old or younger. The competitions for both men and women occur at the same venue. The men's tournament has occurred since 1975 and the women's since 1988. Since curling became an Olympic sport in 1998, the World Junior Curling Championship of the year preceding the Olympic Games have been held at the site of the curling tournament for the upcoming Games. The event has its origins in the International Junior Masters Bonspiel which began in 1968 and was held annually at the East York Curling Club. Yannick Schwaller
Yannick Schwaller (born 31 March 1995 in Solothurn) is a Swiss curler from Recherswil. He currently skips his own team out of Geneva. Career Juniors Schwaller skipped the Swiss junior men's team at three straight World Junior Curling Championships. In 2014, he led his team of Reto Keller, throwing fourth stones, Patrick Witschonke, Michael Probst and Romano Meier to a 6–3 round robin record. They then beat Italy's Amos Mosaner in a tiebreaker to qualify for the playoffs. There, they defeated Canada's Braden Calvert and Norway's Eirik Mjøen in the 3 vs. 4 page playoff and semifinal games respectively, qualifying for the final. In the final, they won 6–5 over Scotland's Kyle Smith rink to become the World Junior champions, becoming just the fifth Swiss men's team to do so. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery.
