''Unidos'' (translation from Sardinian: "United") is a centre-right separatist political party in Sardinia. History The party was launched by Mauro Pili, a long-time member of centre-right parties like Forza Italia (FI) and The People of Freedom (PdL) and a former President of Sardinia (1999, 2001–2003), in November 2011. Originally a faction within the PdL, Unidos soon became a party upon Pili's exit from that party in October 2013. As Pili had been elected to the Chamber of Deputies in the 2013 general election, Unidos was represented in Parliament until 2018. The Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Acadêmicos da Rocinha is a samba school in Rio de Janeiro, located in the neighborhood of São Conrado on Bertha Lutz street. History The Academic Rocinha samba school comes from three carnivals of favela da Rocinha, the "Empire of the Topsail", "Young Blood" and "United Rocinha". The Scholars of Rocinha's symbol is the butterfly, and the colors are blue, green and white. It paraded for the first time as a samba school in 1989 by Group 4 in Intendente Magalhães in Campinho, with the carnival Joãosinho Trinta. That year the school was crowned champion and ascended to the Joãosinho Trinta. Two more championships in a row by Group 3. in 1990 and Group 2 in 1991 led to Group 1 where it remained until 1996, when it won second place, which earned it the right to march for the first time in the Special. Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Unidos do Porto da Pedra (commonly called Porto da Pedra or Unidos do Porto da Pedra) is a samba school currently headquartered in the municipality of São Gonçalo. The school was previously located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. History Unidos do Porto da Pedra was originally known as Porto da Pedra Futebol Clube, having formed in the 1970s. The club's original colours were red and white. The club was formed by residents of its surrounding neighbourhood with the idea of forming a street block, that competed in 1975 and 1976. On 8 March 1978 this carnival block was officially registered, with Harold Moreira named as president. The club's founders included José Carlos Rodrigues, José Paulo de Oliveira Chaffin, Jorair Ferreira, Jorge Brum, and Nilton Belomino Bispo. Inocentes De Belford Roxo
Inocentes is one of the oldest active punk rock bands in Brazil. The group was formed in 1981 by former members of pioneer local punk bands Restos de Nada and Condutores de Cadáver. During their first incarnation in the first half of the 1980s, Inocentes played basic energetic and politically charged hardcore punk, exemplified by the Grito Suburbano compilation tracks and their 7" EP "Miséria e Fome". The original band split up in 1984, but frontman Clemente Nascimento put a new line up together a few months later with former members of São Paulo Oi! band Neuróticos. The new line up dropped the hardcore influences and adopted a cleaner, more melodic sound mixing punk, post-punk and other influences. In July 2016, their 1986 album ''Pânico em SP'' was elected by ''Rolling Stone Brasil'' as the 6th best Brazilian punk rock album. The Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Caprichosos de Pilares (or simply Caprichosos de Pilares) is a Brazilian samba school of Rio de Janeiro based in the neighborhood of Pilares. It was founded on February 19, 1949 by Oscar Lino, Dagoberto Bernardo, Valter Machado, Romão da Silva, Gilberto Ribeiro, Amarildo Cristiano, João Cândido, Sebastian Benjamin, Tia Alvarinda and Athayde Pereira although many historians the point as sort of dissent from another former association in Pilares: Unidos da Terra Nova.
