Resorts World Hudson Valley is a shopping mall casino in the Newburgh Mall in Newburgh, New York. History In the spring of 2022, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul signed off on a budget bill to authorize three downstate casino licenses, allowing retail casino gaming to set up shop in and around New York City. Six months later, the New York State Gaming Commission finalized the roster for the Gaming Facility Location Board, which will ultimately approves and assign licenses to interested parties. Genting Group applied and was approved for a license for Newburg. Opening On December 28, 2022, after 50 million dollars in renovations, Resorts World Hudson Valley Casino opened in the Newburgh Mall at the site of the former Bon-Ton department store. Newburgh is a city in the U.S. state of New York, within Orange County. Newburgh Mall
Newburgh Mall is a regional shopping center located on NY 300 in the Town of Newburgh, New York, near where Interstate 87 (the New York State Thruway) intersects with Interstate 84. It was opened in 1980 by Kravco property management (later Kravco Simon), which owns King of Prussia Mall outside Philadelphia. The mall has 46 stores and the only anchor store is Office Depot. Bed Bath & Beyond was a former anchor of the mall but the brand had seen a steep decline in recent years. In early 2023 this led to the closure of many of their stores in New York state, including the Newburgh Mall location. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that was once Sears and The Bon-Ton. Monticello Raceway
Monticello Gaming and Raceway is a harness racing track and racino in Monticello, Sullivan County, New York. It is off Exit 104 of Route 17 (future Interstate 86), on New York State Route 17B. The racetrack is nicknamed "The Mighty M" and races standardbred horse races during the afternoons year-round. The current racetrack is a 1/2 mile oval. The track opened on June 27, 1958 in order to attract more people to Monticello's resort area. Monticello Raceway is owned by Empire Resorts.
