''Resister'' is the third studio album by the Australian skate punk band The Decline, released on June 12, 2015 on the Pee Records label and distributed internationally by Bird Attack Records (United States), Finetunes (Europe) and Bells On Records (Japan). In support of the album, the band went on a worldwide tour, including the United States, Mexico, Japan, Europe and Australia. An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), Phonograph record, vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as Digital distribution#Music, digital distribution. ''Flash Gordon Ramsay Street'' is the fourth studio album by the Australian skate punk band The Decline, released on August 30, 2019, on Pee Records and distributed internationally by Thousand Island Records (North America), Bearded Punk Records (Europe) and Disconnect Records (UK). The album was tracked, mixed and engineered by Brody Simpson and Mark McEwen at Underground Studios in Booragoon, Western Australia in 2018. Skate Punk
Skate punk (also known as skatecore and skate rock) is a skater subculture and punk rock subgenre that developed in the 1980s. Originally a form of hardcore punk that had been closely associated with skate culture, skate punk evolved into a more melodic genre of punk rock in the 1990s similar to pop punk. Since then, it has predominately featured fast tempos, lead guitar playing (including guitar riffs and guitar solos), fast drumming, and singing (sometimes including vocal harmonies). Occasionally, skate punk also combines the fast tempos of hardcore punk and melodic hardcore with the catchy hooks of pop-punk. 1970s and early 1980s punk rock bands like Buzzcocks, Descendents, Adolescents, Black Flag, and Circle Jerks paved the way for skate punk. Bodyjar
Bodyjar are an Australian pop punk band which formed in 1990. They began performing under the name Bodyjar in 1994; their previous names included Damnation (1990–91) and Helium (1992–93). The latter group released an album, ''You Can't Hold Me Down'', in October 1992. As Bodyjar their original line-up were Cameron Baines on vocals and guitar; Ben Petterson on vocals and guitar; Grant Relf on vocals and bass guitar; and Charles Zerafa on drums. In 1995 Ross Hetherington (ex-Bastard Squad, Swamp Rats) replaced Zerafa on drums. In 1999 Tom Read replaced Petterson on guitar and in 2004 Hetherington made way for Shane Wakker on drums.
