Resistencia Sport Club, is a Paraguayan association football, football club based in Barrio Ricardo Brugada in Asunción. The club, founded on December 27, 1917, plays in the Paraguayan División Intermedia, División Intermedia of the Paraguayan football league. Resistencia S.C. plays its home matches at the Estadio Tomás Beggan Correa, Tomás Beggan Correa Stadium. Estadio Tomás Beggan Correa
The Estadio Tomás Beggan Correa is a football stadium in the neighborhood of Ricardo Brugada, a.k.a. La Chacarita, in the city of Asunción, Paraguay. It has a capacity of 3,500 seats. It is the home venue of Primera División Paraguaya, Primera División club Resistencia S.C., Resistencia. The name of the stadium is in honor of a former president of the club, under whose mandate the club's first official title was achieved in 1966. During the flooding of the Paraguay River at the end of 2015, the field was reached by the waters and the facilities were severely affected. In December 2016, on the Resistencia S.C., club's 99th anniversary, the project to expand the stadium's capacity to around 6,500 people was launched. References

The División Intermedia ( en, Intermediate Division), also known as the Segunda División ( en, Second Division), is the second tier professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. Overview Since 1910 the second division tournaments have changed rules, number of teams and names. As of 2006, División Intermedia is the name for the second division and 16 teams are part of it. The champion and the runner-up of this league gains the right to participate in the Liga Paraguaya: Primera División, the Paraguay's top division of football. Ricardo Brugada
Ricardo Brugada, mostly known as La Chacarita, is a neighbourhood of Asunción, the capital of Paraguay. It is a shanty town and one of the poorest locations in the entire country. Approximately 20,000 people live there. It is located in the center of the metropolitan area of Asunción, close to city landmarks such as the Government Palace, the Parliament, the Cathedral, the Catholic University and the Costanera. It is located on the banks of the Paraguay River, starting at the Bernardino Caballero Park until the port of Asuncion.
