Resistance (Battlestar Galactica)
"Resistance" is the fourth episode of the second season of the reimagined ''Battlestar Galactica'' television series. It aired originally on the Sci Fi Channel on August 5, 2005. In the episode, Marines fire on civilians following Colonel Saul Tigh's declaration of martial law. President Laura Roslin and Lee "Apollo" Adama escape '' Galactica'', Commander William Adama recovers, and Specialist Cally kills ''Galactica''-Boomer. On Caprica, Starbuck and Helo join a human resistance group led by Sam Anders. Plot When civilian ships protest martial law, acting commander Tigh orders Marines to take withheld supplies by force. ''Battlestar Galactica'' (''BSG'') is an American military science fiction television series, and part of the ''Battlestar Galactica'' franchise. The show was developed by Ronald D. Moore and executive produced by Moore and David Eick as a re-imagining of the 1978 ''Battlestar Galactica'' television series created by Glen A. Larson. Leah Cairns (born June 2, 1974) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her roles as Lieutenant Margaret "Racetrack" Edmondson in ''Battlestar Galactica'' and as Kathryn McLaren in the TV series " Travelers." Early life Cairns was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, and grew up in Kamloops. Dreams of becoming a professional dancer were dashed when she broke her back in a car accident at 16. When her dance team went to an international competition in her graduating year, rather than sit at home, she decided to visit Costa Rica and then began a backpacking trek that took her to 36 countries and took eight years. Before returning to Canada, she took an improvisation class at an ashram in India. Saul Tigh is a fictional character on ''Battlestar Galactica'' played by Michael Hogan. He is one of the main characters of the show. Biography Overview and personality Saul Tigh is a line officer assigned as executive officer on the Galactica. "The Farm" is the fifth episode of the second season of the reimagined '' Battlestar Galactica'' television series. It aired originally on the Sci Fi Channel on August 12, 2005. It is the first episode of the series in which the plot is set on Caprica. In the episode, Cylons capture Kara "Starbuck" Thrace and hold her in an abandoned hospital, where they are performing experiments with human reproduction. Starbuck escapes and leaves Caprica to return to the human fleet. Commander William Adama returns to command of the fleet, but President Laura Roslin persuades almost a third of the fleet to follow her back to Kobol. According to executive producer Ronald D.
