The party is the country's governing party; the party's leader, Alassane Ouattara, is the current President of Ivory Coast. French Frigate Républicaine Française (1794)
The ''Républicaine française'' was a 32-gun frigate of the French Navy, of the ''Galathée'' class. The Royal Navy captured her in 1796. The Navy fitted her as a troopship in 1800, but both as a troopship, and earlier as a frigate, she captured several small Spanish and French privateers. She was broken up in 1810. French service Ordered in March 1793 as ''Panthère'', she became ''République française'' in January 1794, and eventually ''Républicaine française'' when commissioned in May, as the name had been attributed to the 120-gun ''République française''. The Vanuatu Republican Party (french: Parti Républicain de Vanuatu, bi, Ripablikan Pati blong Vanuatu) is a centrist political party in Vanuatu. At the last general elections, held on 22 January 2016, they won no seats and 1.75% of the vote. Its leader is Maxime Carlot Korman, who was previously a member of the Union of Moderate Parties and had served as Prime Minister of Vanuatu while a member of the UMP. Korman and the Republican Party were part of the coalition government led by Ham Lini's National United Party from 2004 to 2008, and Korman served in the cabinet as minister of lands.
