Repalle is a constituency in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh, representing the state legislative assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Bapatla (SC) (Lok Sabha constituency), along with Vemuru, Bapatla, Parchur, Addanki, Chirala and Santhanuthalapadu. Anagani Satya Prasad is the present MLA of the constituency, who won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from TDP Party. As of 25 March 2019, there are a total of 194,748 electors in the constituency. Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly or Andhra Pradesh Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature. The Legislative Assembly consists of 175 members which are elected by adult universal suffrage under the first-past-the-post system. The duration of the Assembly is five years from the date appointed for its first meeting, unless it is decided to dissolve the Assembly sooner. The Legislative Assembly's main functions include legislation, overseeing of administration, passing the budget, and airing public grievances. The assembly is Bicameral and holds three sessions annually: one for Budget, Monsoon and Winter. The Legislative Assembly took up residence in the interim Legislative Assembly Building in Amaravati beginning in the 2016 Budget session. 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It was held concurrently with the Indian general election. The results were declared on 16 May 2014. The Telugu Desam Party led by N. Ambati Rambabu
Ambati Rambabu (born ) is an Indian politician from the state of Andhra Pradesh. He has served as the Minister for Irrigation since 2022. A member of the YSR Congress Party, he was a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Sattenapalle constituency in the 2019 elections. He entered politics with Indian National Congress. He was elected the Member of the Legislative Assembly from Repalle constituency during 1989–94, and later served as the chairman of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation during 2005–09.
