René Petit
Renato Petit de Ory, better known by its French name, René Petit (8 October 1899 – 14 October 1989) was a Franco-Spanish engineer, known for being a footballer in his youth. He was one of the most popular players in Spanish football in the 1910s, 1920s and 1930s, playing for Real Madrid and Real Unión, and becoming a member of the French national team. He represented France at the 1920 Summer Olympics. Biography Renato or René Petit lived his life traveling between Spain and France. The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–36) and Copa del Generalísimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Basque Country National Football Team
The Basque Country representative football team (officially, in Basque, 'Euskal selekzioa') represents the Basque Country in football. It selects players from the Basque Country autonomous community, Navarre and the French Basque Country and is organised by the Basque Football Federation. It is not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA and therefore only allowed to play friendly matches against FIFA or non-FIFA affiliated teams. Prince Of Asturias Cup
The Prince of Asturias Cup (, ) was an inter-regional football competition contested by the regional selections of Spain – selections of players from clubs from the region in question, meaning that players did not need to be native to the region. There have been seven tournaments for the Prince of Asturias Cup, the first of which was organized in 1915 by the national committee of the RFEF (Spanish FA) in honor of the donator of the trophy, don Alfonso, Prince of Asturias, the first-born son of King Alfonso XIII and Prince of Asturias. The first editions (1914 to 1918) of the competition were held in Madrid and the registration of the regional federations was voluntary. Campo de O'Donnell was Atlético Madrid's main stadium between 1913 and 1923. It should not be confused with Atlético's fierce rivals Real Madrid's Campo de O'Donnell, which had the same name and was situated 200 meters away on the same boulevard called Calle de O'Donnell. José Echeveste
José Echeveste Galfarsoro (19 March 1899 – 7 December 1982) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Real Unión and for the Spain national team. He spent all 13 seasons of his playing career with Real Unión, thus being a historical member of the club and part of the so-called one-club men group. He played a pivotal role in the Unión team that won two Copa del Rey in the 1920s, in 1924 and 1927, netting the winning goals in both finals. Club career Born in Irun, Gipuzkoa, Echeveste began playing football with his hometown club Real Unión in 1919, with whom he spent his entire career, playing 13 seasons with the club until his retirement in 1932. The Campeonato Regional Centro (Spanish for Central Regional Championship) was an important annual association football competition for clubs based primarily in the Castile region of Spain, including the Community of Madrid, during the first half of the 20th century.
