René Guajardo
Manuel Guajardo Mejorado (January 4, 1933 – May 11, 1992), better known as René Guajardo, was a Mexican professional wrestler. Professional wrestling career René Guajardo was born in Villa Mainero, Tamaulipas, Mexico. At the age of 16, Guajardo decided to become a professional luchador. He joined a wrestling gym in Monterrey, Nuevo León, where he was trained by Gerardo Rodríguez Pérez (Zandor wrestler), Chema López and Rolando Vera. René made his debut in 1954 against Oso Negro. His hard work and determination caught the eye of EMLL recruiters who offered him a contract with their promotion company. He debuted for Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL) in Arena Coliseo on October 8 of that same year. During his first three years in the business, he wrestled as a técnico, but in 1957 he watched the then rudo Karloff Lagarde wrestle in Monterrey and started to wonder if he'd have more success as a rudo. Rolando Vera (wrestler)
Rolando Hernández Verástegui (February 1, 1915 – March 29, 2001) was a Mexican people, Mexican professional wrestler and wrestling trainer, better known as Rolando Vera. One of the most popular ''luchadores'' in Mexico in the 1950s, he was also an early star of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. Vera wrestled throughout the world during his long career and held the NWA World Middleweight Championship, NWA World Middleweight Champion for over four years. He also trained numerous wrestlers during his life including father-and-son Blue Demon and Blue Demon Jr., Sangre Chicana, Angel Mortal, René Guajardo and Sugi Sito. Rayo De Jalisco
Máximino Linares Moreno (November 22, 1932 – July 19, 2018) was a Mexican ''luchador'' (professional wrestler) and lucha film star, better known under the ring name Rayo de Jalisco ("The Lightning Bolt from Jalisco"). He is considered to be one of the best wrestlers of his generation. Linares' son followed in his footsteps and is working under the name Rayo de Jalisco Jr., wearing the same distinctive black mask with silver lightning bolt on it when wrestling. One of Linares' grandsons is also a wrestler, known as "Rayman". During his career, Linares held the NWA World Middleweight Championship on three occasions as well as the Mexican National Tag Team Championship with ''lucha libre'' icon El Santo. The Catch Wrestling Association (CWA) was a professional wrestling organization based in Austria and Germany that was founded in 1973. It was run by Otto Wanz. The CWA featured a traditional brand of mat wrestling mixed with various “Strong Man” competitions. The company was engaged in talent-share agreements with other wrestling promotions, including New Japan Pro-Wrestling and the American Wrestling Association. These agreements expanded the opportunities given to many European wrestlers. Gran Hamada
, better known by his ring name , is a Japanese professional wrestler, the first to adopt the high-flying Mexican lucha libre style. UWA World Middleweight Championship
The UWA World Middleweight Championship (''Campeonato Mundial de Peso Medio UWA'' in Spanish) is a professional wrestling championship originally created and sanctioned by the Mexican lucha libre promotion Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) from 1976 until the UWA closed in 1995. Upon the closing of the UWA, the title migrated to Japan's Michinoku Pro Wrestling and Toryumon Japan promotions. Currently, the title resides in Kaientai Dojo, where it is held by Kyu Mogami. The Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) was a Mexican ''Lucha Libre'' or professional wrestling promotion based in Naucalpan, Mexico State that operated from 1975 until 1995.
