René De Buzelet
René de Buzelet (24 May 1907 – 8 April 1995) was a French tennis player who was active during the 1920s and 30s. Career De Buzelet was a runner-up at the men's doubles event at the 1928 French Championships. Partnering Henri Cochet they lost the final in five sets to Jean Borotra and Jacques Brugnon. In 1928 De Buzelet won the singles title at the French Covered Court Championships, played at the Tennis Club de Paris, after a five-sets victory in the final against Pierre Henri Landry. He was a runner-up to Jean Borotra at the same event in 1933. At the Coupe de Noël indoor tournament in January 1929 De Buzelet and Cochet defeated the brothers Jean and Édouard Borotra to win the doubles title. Tennis Club de Paris (Tennis Club of Paris), also known as the TCP, is a tennis club founded in 1895 in Paris. History 1895 to 1930 In 1895, a few sportsmen, including Armand Masson and Paul Lecaron, had the idea of creating a tennis club that would bring together covered parquet courts and open clay courts. William Tatem Tilden II (February 10, 1893 – June 5, 1953), nicknamed "Big Bill", was an American tennis player. Tilden was the world No. 1 amateur for six consecutive years, from 1920 to 1925, and was ranked as the world No. 1 professional by Ray Bowers in 1931 and 1932 and Ellsworth Vines in 1933. He won 14 Major singles titles, including 10 Grand Slam events, one World Hard Court Championships and three professional majors. He was the first American man to win Wimbledon, taking the title in 1920. He also won a joint-record seven U.S. Championships titles (shared with Richard Sears and Bill Larned). Eberhard Nourney
Wilhelm Otto "Eberhard" Nourney (23 April 1904 – 31 July 1936) was a tennis player from Germany. Career Nourney competed in 1929 Wimbledon Championships but was eliminated in the opening round, by Colin Robbins of South Africa. The German also failed to register a win at the 1930 French Championships, losing to second seed Bill Tilden in the second round, having received a bye in the first. In the 1931 Wimbledon Championships, Nourney made it into the third round, with wins over Denmark's Helge Plougmann and Dutch player Josef Knottenbelt. He lost in the third round to eventual finalist Frank Shields. Later that year, Nourney won the men's doubles title at the German Championships, with Walter Dessart as his partner. Christian Boussus (5 March 1908 – August 2003) was a left-handed French tennis player who found success in the 1920s and 1930s. Tennis career He started playing amateur tennis in the late 1920s by entering one of his first tournaments at the age of 17 in the 1926 edition of The French Covered Courts tournament in doubles, which he won by teaming up with French veteran René Lacoste. He was the runner-up at the Pacific South-west Championship in 1928(lost to fellow Frenchman Henri Cochet) although he won the mixed title trophy alongside American Anne Harper. The same year he won his first outdoor doubles title in Düsseldorf pairing Davis Cup teammate Jean Borotra. He won his first singles championships in 1929.
