Bettina Renz
Bettina Renz is a German political scientist and Professor of International Security at the School of Politics and International Relations, University of Nottingham. Her major research expertise is post-Soviet Russian security and defence policy, military reform and civil-military relations. Since 2005, Renz has published numerous articles in academic journals describing the background and effects of changes in contemporary Russia's military. She is an editorial board member of the United States Army War College Press. Education After receiving her MA and MSc in Russian Studies at the University of Edinburgh, Renz went to Centre for Russian and East European Studies, University of Birmingham in 1999 for PhD, which dealt with Russian civil-military relations. Martina Ertl-Renz
Martina Maria Ertl-Renz (born 12 September 1973) is a German former alpine skier. She was two times world champion and also won several medals at Olympic Winter Games and World Championships. Biography Martina Ertl is the sister of the German alpine ski Andreas Ertl. Skiing career Ertl started skiing at the age of two and a half. At the age of 18 she participated in the Junior World Championship in Hemsedal (Norway) winning a silver medal in Giant Slalom and a bronze medal in Combined. This was the starting point of a long career. Until 2006 she took part in 430 World Cup races winning 14 of them. Ertl won the Giant Slalom World Cup in 1996 and 1998. Circus Renz was a German circus company. It was established in 1842 in Berlin by Ernst Jakob Renz (1815–1892) as ''Circus Olympic'' and existed until 1897. The company had several stationary buildings in Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Breslau and Vienna. Today several circus companies in Germany make use of the family name ''Renz''. Among them, '' Circus Universal Renz'' and '' Zirkus Renz Manege'' are the biggest. Circus Herman Renz
Circus Herman Renz is the largest circus in the Netherlands, and has been touring the Netherlands and other countries since 1911. History decided in the winter of 1911 to start his own circus. The first artist he contracted was his friend Tom Mix. In 1923 Arnold changed the name of the circus to "Renz". During World War II it was difficult for the circus to survive, and because of the circumstances it was forced to give shows for Nazi Germany. After the war, the circus returned to normal shows. Arnold van der Vegt died in 1955. (Arnold van der Vegt is not related to Ernst Jacob Renz, Berlin 1842 or Renz International). After the death of Arnold van der Vegt, his son Herman Sr. took over management of the circus. In 1970 he transferred the running of the circus to his sons, Paul and Arnold Jr. (also known as Nol).
