Fritz Schulz (actor)
Fritz Schulz (25 April 1896 – 9 May 1972) was a German and Austrian movie and stage actor, singer and director. Born in Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad), Austria-Hungary, he appeared in almost one hundred movies between 1917 and 1970. Of Jewish extraction, Schultz fled the German film industry in Berlin at the onset of Nazism in 1933 and moved to Vienna to act in and direct independent Austrian film productions. He departed Austria as an exile upon the German Anschluss in 1938 and settled in Switzerland where he concentrated on his stage career until his death in Zürich in 1972. He was married at the age of 14 to 19 year old actress Ágnes Esterházy from 1910 until her death in 1956. Walter Rilla (22 August 1894 – 21 November 1980) was a German film actor of Jewish descent. He was born in Neunkirchen, Germany and died in Rosenheim, Germany. Career Having debuted on the stage, Rilla began his film in career in Germany during the silent era. This included an early role for him in Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau's ''The Grand Duke's Finances'' in 1924. Following the rise of the Nazi Party to power in 1933, he emigrated to Britain and became a regular performer in British films often in villainous or aristocratic roles. Both during and after the Second World War he played Nazi officers or agents. Julius Von Borsody
Julius von Borsody (8 April 1892 in Vienna – 18 January 1960, also in Vienna) was an Austrian film architect and one of the most employed set designers in the Austrian and German cinemas of the late silent and early sound film periods. His younger brother, Eduard von Borsody, was a film director in Austria and Germany. He is also the great-uncle of German actress Suzanne von Borsody. Life Julius von Borsody attended the Munich Art Academy before he started in the film industry in 1917. He began his career with Sascha-Film in Vienna, but up to 1924 also worked with other film production companies. In 1920 he was the set designer for Paul Czinner's highly significant pre-Expressionist work, ''Inferno''.
