Kingdom Come (band)
Kingdom Come is a Germany-based rock band formed in 1987. The band was originally fronted by Lenny Wolf (born Frank Wöllschlager in Hamburg), until their hiatus in 2016. While there have been no constant Kingdom Come members throughout the band's history, their most recent lineup features four original members who left the band in 1989 and returned in 2018. Wolf was replaced by Keith St John in 2018. The group's 1988 debut album, '' Kingdom Come'', is to date their most internationally popular and biggest selling recording and features their most notable hit " Get It On". Danny Stag
Danny Stag (born Daniel Steigerwald in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American hard rock guitarist who played with the band Kingdom Come. Stag is noted for his soulful blues rock playing, a style that by the late 1980s had been somewhat of a lost art, with many hard rock guitarists at the time playing with a more technical approach. Prior to joining Kingdom Come, Stag played and recorded in L.A. based bands Industrials, produced by Kim Fowley, Population 5, and WWIII; along with future Kingdom Come bandmate, Johnny B. Frank, a former keyboard player for Josie Cotton. Stag's big break in the music industry came shortly after his good friend Johnny B. Frank was chosen to play in Lenny Wolf's new band Kingdom Come. Wolf had asked Frank if he knew any blues guitarists and Frank recommended Stag. In Your Face (Kingdom Come Album)
''In Your Face'' is the second album by the hard rock band Kingdom Come. Two singles were released in support of the album, both becoming minor hits in the UK: "Do You Like It" (no. 73) and "Overrated" (no. 85). The band was due to tour the UK, supporting W.A.S.P., shortly after release of the second single, but split up before the tour commenced (ironically W.A.S.P. also lost guitarist and co-founder Chris Holmes at the same time, meaning they also had to cancel the tour). A third single "Stargazer" was pressed, but never officially released. The 12" and CD single versions of "Do You Like It", includes the previously unreleased "Slow Down"; a song that did not make it onto the album. In an interview, the band's members talk about the title of the album, saying that when you first look at the LP, you read "Kingdom Come", then, as you move your eyes downwards, you read "In your face". ''Hands of Time'' is the third studio album by the hard rock band Kingdom Come, released in 1991. Background In 1989, Kingdom Come released their second LP, '' In Your Face'', with (initially) strong sales to rival their platinum selling debut, when the band abruptly broke up for personal reasons in August 1989. Without the rest of the band, lead vocalist and primary songwriter Lenny Wolf chose to retain the band's name and record a third album, the band's final international release for PolyGram. Co-writing with ''Hands of Time'' songwriter Carol Tatum ( Angels of Venice), Wolf recorded the album with several session guitarists and drummers, including future Poison guitarist Blues Saraceno and former Dancer drummer Bam Bamm Shibley. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States.
