Renard GAA
Reenard (or Renard as it is also spelled) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from the Kerry, Ireland townland of Reenard. The club competes in Gaelic football competitions organized by the Kerry county board and the South Kerry divisional board. Together with nine other clubs they supply players to the South Kerry Divisional team. History The first mention of Reenard was when Pat McGillicuddy of Reenard won the first Dublin Senior Football Championship in 1887 with Erins Hope which was then the name of football team of St. Patrick's College of Education in Drumcondra. McGillicuddy returned to County Kerry to take up principalship of the National School in the nearby townland of Knockeens in 1890 and immediately set about organising Gaelic football in the locality. All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland. The first tournament was held in 1887; it has been held every year since 1889. Each tournament ends with a final, played by the 35th Sunday of the year at Croke Park in Dublin, with the winning team receiving the Sam Maguire Cup. Killian Young
Killian Young (born 4 January 1987 in Tralee) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays Gaelic football with his local club Renard GAA, contests the County Championship with divisional side South Kerry, and was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 2006 to 2019. Having appeared for Kerry in the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship and All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship, Young made his Kerry senior championship debut in 2006, breaking into the team in 2007. He filled the number 7 jersey when Aidan O'Mahony moved to centre-back to replace Séamus Moynihan. Young played there in the National Football League and retained his place for the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. He was a member of the Kerry team that won Munster and then the All-Ireland that year, and won Young Player of the Year. All-Ireland Under 21 Football Championship
The GAA Football Under-20 All-Ireland Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the EirGrid GAA Football Under-20 All-Ireland Championship) is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in Ireland. The championship was contested as the All-Ireland Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2017 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2018. The final, usually held in August, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the summer months, and the results determine which team receives the Clarke Cup. All-Ireland Minor Football Championship
The Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Championship is the premier under-17 "knockout" competition in Gaelic football played in Ireland. 2017 was the final year of the minor under 18 football championship as it were replaced by an under 17 championship following a vote at the GAA congress on 26 February 2016. The series of games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association and are played during the summer months with the All-Ireland Minor Football Final being played on the third Sunday in September in Croke Park, Dublin as the curtain-raiser to the senior final. The Kerry Senior Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as Garvey’s SuperValu Senior Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1889 for the top Gaelic football teams in the county of Kerry in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months, with the county final currently being played in either Austin Stack Park or FitzGerald Stadium in October. Valentia Young Islanders Gaa
Valentia Young Islanders are a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Valentia Island, South County Kerry, Ireland. They play in Division 4 of the county league and in the Kerry Novice Football Championship. The club's most recent success has been winning the Munster Junior football championship final after beating Kildimo-Pallaskenry 12 points to 1-8 on 25 January 2015. The Young Islanders is one of the many clubs affected by mass emigration, losing numerous players in this manner. The London County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Coiste Londain) or London GAA is one of the county boards outside Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in London. The county board is also responsible for the London county teams and schools. The county football team compete in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship on an annual basis, the only English based team to do so.
