Rena Gaile
Rena Gaile is a Canadian country music artist. Gaile's first single, "Make Time for Love," was released in 1983. She released an additional seven singles between 1989 and 1993 before issuing her first studio album, ''Out on a Limb'', in 1995. This album produced seven singles for her on the Canadian country music charts, of which the highest was the No. 10-peaking "Cloud of Dust." Gaile was nominated for Outstanding New Artist at the ''RPM'' Big Country Awards in 1993 and 1996. London, Ontario
London (pronounced ) is a city in southwestern Ontario, Canada, along the Quebec City–Windsor Corridor. The city had a population of 422,324 according to the 2021 Canadian census. RPM (magazine)
''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Canadian music charts ''RPM'' maintained several format charts, including Top Singles (all genres), Adult Contemporary, Dance, Urban, Rock/Alternative and Country Tracks (or Top Country Tracks) for country music. The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) was founded in 1976 as the Academy of Country Music Entertainment to organize, promote and develop a Canadian country music industry. The groundwork for the association began on June 3rd, 1973 when a group of twelve entertainers, promoters and radio personalities met at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Ontario and formed a Board of Directors to help promote Canadian content. The Gospel Music Association of Canada or GMA Canada (formerly known as the CGMA) is a not for profit association, founded in 1974, whose purpose is to promote Christian music in Canada.
