Remus Opriș
Constantin Remus Opriș (November 20, 1958 – May 20, 2019) was a Romanian politician and psychiatrist, a prominent member of the Christian Democratic National Peasants' Party (PNȚ-CD) and former Minister-Delegate for Local Administration in the 1996–1998 Victor Ciorbea cabinet (formed around the Romanian Democratic Convention, CDR). He was a member of the Chamber of Deputies (Romania), Chamber of Deputies elected for Prahova County for three consecutive terms, between 1992 and 2000. Ministerial Responsibility
In Westminster-style governments, individual ministerial responsibility is a constitutional convention that a cabinet minister bears the ultimate responsibility for the actions of their ministry or department. Individual ministerial responsibility is not the same as cabinet collective responsibility, which states members of the cabinet must approve publicly of its collective decisions or resign. This means that a Parliamentary motion for a vote of no confidence is not in order should the actions of an organ of government fail in the proper discharge of its responsibilities. Mugur Isărescu
Constantin Mugur Isărescu (; born 1 August 1949) is the Governor of the National Bank of Romania, a position he has been holding since September 1990, with the sole exception of a period of time of eleven months (16 November 1999 to 28 October 2000), during which he served as Prime Minister of Romania. In addition, he is also a member of the Romanian Academy. Early life Isărescu was born in Drăgășani, Vâlcea County, Romania. His father was a school teacher who, after the establishment of the Romanian People's Republic, studied at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (ASE), worked as a bank executive during the 1950s, and then was a professor of accounting for 20 years. The Democratic Party ( ro, Partidul Democrat, PD) was a social democratic and, later on, centre-right political party in Romania. In January 2008, it merged with the Liberal Democratic Party (PLD), a splinter group of the National Liberal Party (PNL), to form the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL).
