Rejoice Records
Word Records is a Christian faith-based entertainment company based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is owned by Curb Records, and is a part of Word Entertainment. It is distributed by Warner Records (the former Warner Bros. Records). History In 1951, Word Records was founded in Waco, Texas by Jarrell McCracken, Baylor business major Henry SoRelle and radio/television executive Ted Snider. The label's name is based on a 16-minute spoken word recording written and narrated by McCracken, the first recording released by the label, entitled "The Game of Life". The 23-year-old KWTX sportscaster in Waco had read an article by Jimmy Allen, a former athlete who became a Baptist preacher, and based his recording on the article which is also called "The Game of Life". The event is based on a full-length match, between the forces of good and evil, with Jesus Christ and Satan coaching the two teams. McCracken was familiar with play-by-play broadcasting, having created virtual baseball games for ...

Reception In his review for AllMusic, Scott Yanow commented: "The music always holds on to one's interest, making this one of Sanders's better later recordings". The authors of ''The Penguin Guide to Jazz Recordings'' stated that the album is "cluttered by spurious vocals, but packed with interesting episodes," and noted that "the basic group is hard to fault, but it's rarely heard in isolation and there is always someone running interference." Imran Mirza of UK Vibe remarked: "''Rejoice'' lovingly strives for that notion of celebration, achieving it almost immediately... this is an album that embraces its 80s surrounding soundscape, particularly during the album’s early portion of highlife songs." Writing for ''Jazz Journal'', Derek Ansell noted that, on the opening track, "Sanders is full of complex, high-octane improvising," while the succeeding tracks pre ...

Lift (Audio Adrenaline Album)
''Lift'' is the sixth studio album by Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline, released in 2001. Concept and development The concept of the album ''Lift'' came from several meanings, according to guitarist Tyler Burkum. In an interview with Jesus Freak Hideout, Burkum said: : "It's kinda like how if you lift God up. But not only God, there are many ways you can take it. Like how God lifts us up. There are many surface-level ways to take it. The whole thing is kinda how when we lift Christ up to people, we don't have to explain what God is. If you just worship Him and just point to God, that's enough. It's weird cause through the record there's this kind of like this underlying feeling of hope on the whole record. And it wasn't even like we tried to do that. It was just kind of there – this hope and a kind of a peace the way God lifts us up. The record is kind of like what happens when you worship. It's not really worship music, but what happens when you worship." Burkum also sa ...
