''Rejection'' is a Ukrainian apocalyptic film directed by Vladimir Lert (:ru:Лерт, Владимир Владимирович, ru) with Sergei Babkin (:ru:Бабкин, Сергей Николаевич, ru) and Aleksandr Bashirov. It was made in 2009, but not released until 2011 in Ukrainian. It was shown in Russian (as Отторжение) at the Ranok film festival in April 2012, and in Russian with English subtitles released on Amazon Prime. References

Vladimir Lert
Vladimir Lert is a Latvian filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer. Biography Lert studied direction and acting simultaneously, the former at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California, and the latter at the International Actors' School in Los Angeles founded by Alexander Kuznetsov (actor), Alexander Kuznetsov. After completing his studies in 2006, he traveled to Kiev, Ukraine, where he filmed a number of small budget films and participated in the Kyiv International Film Festival "Molodist", Kiev Film Festival. Lert began his career in Hollywood as an assistant producer, while also working as an actor in several films. He shot the film "Rejection (2011 film), Rejection", released in 2011. In 2016, he wrote the screenplay for and directed ''St. Valentine's Night''. The script underwent significant improvisation during filming. Alexander Nikolaevich Bashirov (russian: Александр Николаевич Баширов; born 24 September 1955, in Sogom) is a Russian film and theater actor, director and screenwriter. He performed in more than sixty films since 1986. Biography Alexander Bashirov was born on 24 September 1955 in the village of Sogom. He was born in a mixed family of ethnic Russian father, Nikolai Zakharovich Kolygin and Siberian Tatar mother, Mariya Katyrovna Bashirova.
