Reinier de Graaf (born 1964) is a Dutch architect, architectural theorist, urbanist and writer. He is a partner in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), and author of the books ''Four Walls and a Roof: The Complex Nature of a Simple Profession'' and ''The Masterplan''. Life Reinier Hendrik de Graaf was born in Schiedam, Netherlands, where he graduated from Stedelijk Gymnasium in 1982. Reinier Saxton
Reinier Saxton (born 10 February 1988) is a Dutch professional golfer. Saxton was born in Amstelveen, the son of Jonas Saxton, who used to play on the Challenge Tour and who is now a coach at the Dutch Federation and one of the founders of The Dutch golf course. Amateur career Saxton had a successful amateur career, At the age of 15, he won the National Championship Matchplay for the first of five times. He won The Amateur Championship at Turnberry in 2008, the second Dutchman to do so after Rolf Muntz in 1990 at Muirfield. Reinier Robbemond (born 31 January 1972) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the manager of Eerste Divisie club Willem II. A midfielder, Robbemond's professional playing career spanned 19 years and was spent at four clubs: Dordrecht '90, Utrecht, AZ and De Graafschap. He made 412 appearances in which he scored 29 goals. Reinier van Persijn (1615 – 23 November 1668) was a Dutch Golden Age engraver of portraits and bookplates. Biography According to Houbraken, who called him ''Reynier van Parzyn'', he was married to the granddaughter of the stained glass painter Wouter Crabeth I, whose son Wouter Crabeth II he probably knew from his time in Rome, where they were both members of the Bentvueghels. His ''bent'' or nickname was ''Narcissus'' (Daffodil). He settled in 1645 in Gouda, where his wife was born. He was a student of Cornelis Bloemaert and learned the art of publishing book title pages from Theodor Matham, son of Jacob Matham. According to an old Dutch ''Who's Who'', while in Italy he engraved pieces from ''the Justiani gallery'', made a famous engraving of Baldassare Castiglione and had a motto, ''Het moet al in een pers zijn'', meaning ''It must already be in print'', which was a play on words, because Pers-zijn was his name. Reinier Paping (18 February 1931 – 20 December 2021) was a Dutch speedskater primarily known as the winner of the Elfstedentocht of 1963. This Elfstedentocht became known as "The hell of '63" when only 69 of the 9,292 contestants were able to finish the race, due to the extremely low temperatures, dipping to −18°C, and a harsh eastern wind. After winning the race, he was recognized as a national hero in the Netherlands. Reinier Van Oldenbarnevelt
Reinier van Oldenbarnevelt, lord of Groeneveld, (also known as ''Reinier van Groeneveld'') (c. 1588 – 29 March 1623) was a Dutch political figure. He was born in Rotterdam, the son of Johan van Oldenbarnevelt. In 1607, he visited Paris with his brother Willem van Oldenbarnevelt as part of their Grand tour, and they were received at the court of king Henry IV of France. He married Anna Weytsen, lady of Brandwijk and Gijbeland, in Delft in 1608. They had three children; Jacoba Francina (1610), Johan (1612) and Jacob van Oldenbarnevelt (1614). Reinier became forester of Holland and lived in the Slot Teylingen at Voorhout. After the execution of his father in 1619, Reinier conspired with his brother Willem van Oldenbarnevelt and amongst others the Remonstrant preacher Hendrick Danielsz Slatius to assassinate stadtholder Maurice of Orange. Reinier Nooms
Reinier Nooms (c. 1623 – 1664), also known as Zeeman or Seeman (Dutch for "sailor"), was a Dutch maritime painter known for his highly detailed paintings and etchings of ships. From the 1650s, Nooms started producing and initially publishing a series of etchings of ships and topographical views. This etching work is characterised by great refinement and was used by many other artists as an example. Life Nooms was probably born and died in Amsterdam, but no records survived. From 1643 he started painting and drawing following a rough, drunken life as a sailor. It is not known how he acquired his skill as an artist. His knowledge of ships is evident from his work: ships and foreign locations are depicted with high accuracy and in great detail and served as an example to other artists of how to depict ships. Reinier Kreijermaat (25 April 1935 – 22 January 2018) was a Dutch footballer who was active as a midfielder in the 1960s. Career Kreijermaat made his professional debut for USV Elinkwijk in 1956. He played for Elinkwijk until 1959, when he moved to Dutch heavyweights Feyenoord. He would spend the majority of his career playing for Feyenoord, winning three Eredivisie championships in the early 1960s and one Dutch Cup.
