Reiner Gies
Reiner Gies (born March 12, 1963, in Kaiserslautern, West Germany) is a former German boxer who won a Light Welterweight Bronze Medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics for West Germany. Four years earlier, when Los Angeles, California hosted the Games, he was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Boxing (also known as "Western boxing" or "pugilism") is a combat sport in which two people, usually wearing protective gloves and other protective equipment such as hand wraps and mouthguards, throw punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring. Adrian Dodson also known as Adrian Carew (born 20 September 1970) is a British former Olympic boxing, boxer. He competed for Guyana at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul under the name Adrian Carew before representing Great Britain at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Amateur career Dodson's first Olympic appearance came as a 17-year-old competing in the Boxing at the 1988 Summer Olympics#Light Welterweight – 63.5 kg, light welterweight division.
