Reine Minoru ( ja, レーヌミノル, link=no, foaled 24 April 2014) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. As a two-year-old in 2016 she showed great promise by winning her first two races including the Kokura Nisai Stakes and went on to be placed in both the Keio Hai Nisai Stakes and the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies. In the following spring she ran fourth in the Daily Hai Queen Cup and second in the Fillies' Revue before recording an upset victory over a strong field in the Oka Sho. She failed to win in thirteen subsequent races, running her last race in February 2019. Background Reine Minoru is a chestnut mare with a white stripe (horse marking), stripe bred in Japan by . Daiwa Major ( ja, ダイワメジャー, link=no) is a retired Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and active sire (horse), sire. A horse who excelled at distances of , he won the Satsuki Shō, the first leg of the Japanese Triple Crown in 2004. His greatest success, however, came later in his career when he won several of Japan's most important weight-for-age races including the Tenno Sho, Tennō Shō, the Yasuda Kinen and two runnings of the Mile Championship. He was twice named JRA Award for Best Sprinter or Miler, Japan's champion miler. Daiwa Major made a successful start to his stud career, siring a Group One winner in his first crop. Background Daiwa Major is a chestnut horse with a white blaze (horse marking), blaze bred by the Shadai Farm in Hokkaido.
