Reinaldo Piussi
Reinaldo Piussi (born 18 May 1999) is an Uruguayan rugby union player, currently playing for the in Major League Rugby (MLR). His preferred position is prop. Early career Piussi is from Montevideo and plays his club rugby for Carrasco Polo Club. His performances for Uruguay's U20 side, earned him a move to to join their academy. Professional career Piussi was named in the squad for the 2023 Super Rugby Americas season, making two appearances. He signed for the ahead of the 2024 Major League Rugby season. Piussi made his debut for Uruguay in 2022 against Tonga. Montevideo () is the Capital city, capital and List of cities in Uruguay, largest city of Uruguay. 2023 Rugby World Cup
The 2023 Rugby World Cup is scheduled to be the tenth men's Rugby World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's rugby union teams. It is scheduled to take place in France from 8 September to 28 October 2023 in nine venues across the country. The opening match and final will take place at the Stade de France, in the commune of Saint-Denis, north of Paris. The tournament will take place in the bicentenary year of the "invention" of the sport by William Webb Ellis. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to last the typical six weeks; however, on 23 February 2021, World Rugby announced an additional week to accommodate the additional rest day requirement for player welfare. This means that teams will have a minimum of five rest days for all matches, optimising recovery and preparation for the tournament. Prop (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23.
