Reina Dorada (Spanish for "Golden Queen"; born January 9, 1998) is the ring name of a Mexican ''luchadora enmascarada'', or masked female professional wrestler. She is currently a freelancer working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) as well as the independent circuit. Her real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept concealed from the general public. Reina Dorada has been one of the biggest female names on the independent scene in Mexico City since the mid-2010s and has wrestled in major independent promotions such as Generación XXI and Caralucha, as well as occasional appearances in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. Jesús Reyes González (born 10 March 1958) is a Mexican ''Luchador'', or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Máscara Año 2000 or Máscara Año Dos Mil. His ring name is Spanish for "Mask of the year 2000", originally referring to the mask Reyes wore while wrestling. Reyes was forced to unmask when he lost a '' Lucha de Apuesta'' (bet match) to Perro Aguayo in 1993. Lucha Libre
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached. Professional wrestlers have been using masks as far back as 1915 and they are still widely used today, especially in Lucha Libre in Mexico. A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling that has little relationship to the rules of the amateur olympic form. "Promotion" also describes a role which entails management, advertising and logistics of running a wrestling event (''see promoter''). Antonio Peña Promotions, S.A. de C.V. d/b/a Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide is a Mexican Lucha Libre (professional wrestling) promotion based in Mexico City, Mexico.
